Note from shop owner Thank you for stopping by. I am currently involved in a project that seems to be growing legs....it may even take over my life. I'm taking time away to think. Thank you.

The ink isn't as bold as it appears on the computer. It's more faded looking on the shirt but I still like it very much. The fit is very comfortable and I'm glad I got the size medium. Wish the tshirts were available in different colors, I would over more then for sure.

Right where I want to be

I grew up in Maine. In the summer seasons we wood go into the woods to Look For Fiddleheads; coiled up baby ferns. We would pick the fiddleheads and cook them for dinner (with a touch of vinegar or butter, and some salt.)

There were so many fiddleheads we couldn't pick them all so some grew to become adult plants. I would return to the woods in the summer to lay on a bed of ferns. Above me was a canopy of swaying leaves and twinkling sunlight. It was there that I heard the story of all my other lives.

Fiddleheads are one of my favorite foods and searching for them is a great memory and current goal.

My designs are inspired by the art and writings found in very old books (bound newspapers 1832-1845) that belonged to my Grandmother. My favorite is the PENNY MAGAZINE; The Society For The Diffusion Of Useful Knowledge. The Penny Magazine was published every Saturday (to empower the working class.) I clean them up, alter them, add color and combine new imagery. Tees are organic cotton and printed only when order in a studio striving to be zero-waste.

I strive to be earth-friendly and energy conscious and consider and investigate fibers, manufacturing practices, inks, dyes, and the supply journey so that I can make informed choices and work towards a studio with zero waste.

★Tees are organic cotton that are manufactured in sweatshop free facilities in Peru and Thailand. The organic cotton goes through a "vintage washing process" so that it is super soft with unique surface variances like a cherished favorite tee.
★Printing is direct to garment with a revolutionary digital technique (taking me years to master) using water base textile pigment inks that become one with the cotton fibers with a heat press. (No solvents used and no waste placed in the city drains.)
★I do not use white ink or any plastisol ink (due to the opaque nature and fillers that coat the fibers (creating a rougher touch) but rely on color theory to create my designs.
★Designs vary in color and size depending on tee style, size and color.
★My shop name.com is discretely printed closely upside the design.
★Tee tags are multipurpose; a gift card suitable to use as a bookmark that includes care instructions.
★Tees are printed to order and can take 1-4 days to create and ship.

CARE: All tees are washer and dryer safe. The best care for your tee and our earth is cold wash (inside-out is helpful) and line dry (air fluff in dryer if you must. Cool iron if you wish.)

HAND-DYED: Dyed tees are appreciated for their individual beauty and human touch. Each tee is a one-of-a-kind with subtle color differences and surface variations. The look is like a favorite tee that has been cherished.

Tees are dyed in a cold water process with non-toxic direct dyes made in the US since 1879. The colors are pure and used in small amounts for old fashion tinting, creating little waste and mild dye liquor. Pigment is then fixed with nature's salt and vinegar to assure excellent colorfastness, followed by a delicate machine wash to remove any access dye.

HAND-DYED CARE: wash separately, 1 to 2 times, then with like colors. Do not spot scrub and test your stain remover on a hidden area if you intend to use it. (Tip: Try an earth-friendly stain remover first: baking soda.)
