Sonya has by far created the most creative and talented painting I have seen. I am just so excited to have a piece of her work hanging in my house. Tracey and Shari

This is my second painting from Sonya - she is a fabulous artist and does an exceptional job at capturing the personality and true character of every pet she draws. She is also very fast in her replies to emails. All around, a wonderful person to work with! I hope to work with her again in the future! My favorite artist on Etsy!!

About

"The story of Lord Truffles...

"The story of Lord Truffles...

... began with Lord Truffles the pug. He was such a loyal confidant to my friend, that it was only suiting he was to have his very own Royal Portrait painted. And so, I created one for him and have since rewrote the history for many other beloved pets. It's truly a delight to meet all these four legged companions and engaging with their loving owners. We here at Lord Truffles believe in magic, and strive to capture that with what we create for you!"

Additional policies and FAQs
FAQ'S:

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
- A step by step of the Lord Truffles Commission...

1. Consultation: (Recommended)
The consultation begins when you contact us to discuss the possibilities of your Royal Pet Portrait!

2. Commission Order:
Payment here on Etsy will be made in full before the design and painting process. If you prefer to place a deposit, please visit the official Lord Truffles website at: www.lordtruffles.com

3. Photo and Description Request:
After your order has been received - We will contact you to request images of your pet(s), a description of your pet's personality, as well as adding your pet to our portrait waiting list. An ETA will be provided. Photos are preferred to be taken at: their eye level, in focus and preferably in natural light. A 3/4 angle is very flattering.

4. The Design:
Once the photos and a description have been provided - we begin the portrait design. A photoshop comp/design is created and presented to you for your approval*. We allow our clients to make up to 3 free revisions. There will be $50 charge per additional revision.

* There can be no refunds on your commissioned painting once your elaborate full color design/mockup has been approved.

5. The Painting:
The oil painting begins! Oil paints do not dry as quickly as other mediums and an adequate dry time is required. This does prolong the process but the briliiant results are worth it. (~3-6 weeks, depending on the size). An image of the final painting can be sent to you if requested.

6. Shipping:
Please make sure your shipping address is correct. Clients will be responsible for extra shipping charges in the case of listing an incorrect address.

7. The Reveal:
Your portrait arrives, eager to be framed and presented in your kindred home! If you would like to share any kind words, an interesting reaction, or photos of the portrait being admired by it's "model"- feel free to share them with us, as Lord Truffles would love to feature it!

HOW LONG DOES THE PORTRAIT TAKE?
- Excluding the wait time, the whole process typically takes a month. The paint time is usually 3-5 weeks (depending on painting size). Please feel free to contact Lord Truffles for a current ETA.

WHAT ARE THEY PAINTED WITH?
- Professional grade oil paints and materials.

WHAT IS THE SURFACE?
- The portraits are painted on birch wood panels (because of their vastly superior archival qualities).

DO YOU DO CUSTOM SIZES?
- Of course. Please contact us, and we'll be happy to put together a custom deposit order for you. We encourage our clients to keep the sizes above 8x10" due to the amount of detail at hand.

ARE THE PORTRAITS FRAMED?
- No. The portraits are unframed. Lord Truffles is currently not offering a framing service.
However, we would love to recommend www.onthewallgallery.com . They specialize in beautiful ready made frames that will ship promptly to your door. Contact Bob and Dory Oberlin and tell them the size and style you're looking for, and that Lord Truffles Pet Portraits sent you!

DO YOU OFFER EXPEDITED WORK?
- Yes, this service is available for an extra cost. Please contact us if interested.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
- Yes. Please review the store policy above for more information.

ARE ALL THE PAINTINGS CUSTOM PORTRAITS?
- Yes, each portrait is one of kind.

DO YOU SHARE THE PORTRAITS?
- Yes. Lord Truffles retains all rights to the artworks, and may use photographs of the paintings in progress, as well as the final portrait towards promotional use. Please let us know if your commission is a surprise gift, and we will refrain from sharing any photos until it's been gifted!
