LotionsandPotions' Shop Announcement

Welcome to Ann's Lotions and Potions. I specialize in handcrafted cold processed soaps, lotions, solid perfumes, cuticle balms, lip balms and sugar scrubs. I use only the highest quality oils and butters to provide your skin with nourishing ingredients that will soothe and protect. Whether you are looking for the perfect gift or just want to treat yourself to a soothing handmade treasure, you will find it all at Ann's Lotions and Potions.

My handcrafted soaps are made with quality oils and butters such as Olive, Rice bran, Sunflower, Palm, Coconut, Castor, Cocoa butter and Shea butter. Each bar of soap has its own unique color and shape with no two bars looking the same! Handcrafted soap differs greatly from store bought soap which is mostly detergents and chemicals. Handcrafted soaps do contain small amounts of lye (sodium hydroxide), yet when lye is mixed with moisturizing oils and butters, a chemical reaction called saponification occurs. Once this process is complete, the lye is gone and you have a gentle, moisturizing, long lasting bar of soap. Handcrafted soap will last much longer than a store bought bar. It is important to not let the soap sit in water. Allow the soap to drain and this will prevent melting and sticking to the soap dish.
