Memory is not as straightforward as one may have been lead to believe. What may pose as memory may be a wishful book of pictures one invests in for ones survival. Why is it that Sunday ( a day reserved for remembering how we are loved) tended to be the loneliest day of the week? Oh, the folly of oversimplifying the mysteries of life. Sunday is a lovely doll that conjured all that and more from me.

Temperance is not easy to look at for long. This is precisely what makes this waif of a doll so compelling. There is much that could be said here but honestly I would not know where to start. Extremely stimulating.

Tiqua is really very beautiful. This did not come across so well in the photos of her...some of us are not so photogenic. The deep deep blue of her hair is magnificent as is her sophisticated outfit. The male who noticed Tiqua must be very special...she brings an affirmation of natural goodness to female sexuality...which has the power to help delete programing that is anything less than true. Isn't it amazing what one can have from a doll and their little story?

About

I've always been intrigued by handmade dolls. . .

Years ago, when my oldest was just born, I wanted to find pictures of dolls that were handmade, gothic and filled with emotions. I would even have purchased one, should I find just the right one. But, I didn't know what to call a handmade doll and even typing in handmade never occurred to me. I didn't know how to find what I was looking for. I did find some lovely gothic dolls, but nothing captured the idea I had in my mind. I found a doll forum with gothic cosplay and who knows what else. I was intrigued. There were some very beautiful creations out there. I get very specific ideas in my head sometimes, and wonder if I can find them, but they're so specific, that of course I can't. You know what it's like when you have a dream with an outfit you're wearing, and you wake up and want to buy some fabric just like your dream, so you can make it, but you can't find anything like it? That has been my lot in life. Full of dreams that no one has ever realized.

I decided I would have to make one some day. Years later, I remembered that dream of making a doll, and thought there was no better way to go about it than to just do it. I did a lot of research on methods and just how it works, and practiced using some homemade air dry clays. I learned a lot by doing, and when I finally went out and bought some polymer clay, I started sculpting, and loved what I made.

I thought I could learn more by taking a figure sculpting class, but I found that since I'm not sculpting real people, it messed up my process a bit. So, I relaxed, entered my previous state of mind, creatively, and kept going.

I think I still have a long way to go as far as skill and talent, but I do like what I make. One day I actually achieved my goal of making that doll that I dreamed of, and she is still for sale. Her name is Efthemia: https://www.etsy.com/listing/159573006/black-goth-art-doll-efthemia?ref=shop_home_feat
There are other dolls that I have been quite proud of: https://www.etsy.com/listing/126707584/polymer-clay-art-doll-ooak-with-orange?ref=shop_home_feat

I hope you understand the look and feel that I love most.

Thank you,

I accept payment through Paypal and direct checkout. Once I receive your payment, I will ship your doll out within the next business day. I do not ship anything before receiving payment.
Shipping
International Shipping
As a buyer, you are responsible for all duties, taxes, levies or fees. I ship worldwide via USPS.

US Shipping
I ship USPS First class with delivery confirmation if the package is light enough. Otherwise I ship in the timeliest manner, usually priority.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you receive items which are damaged, let me know. I will do what I can to make it right. Limbs can easily be replaced. I will replace your item if the package is lost or stolen. See below for replacement options.

If a package is lost in the mail, I will do what I can to replace it. However, as so many packages do arrive after enough time is allowed, I do request that you wait at least 30 days before I will actually replace an item. As none of my items can be duplicated, another item of equal or lesser value will be used. If this does happen, and you don't see anything you like, you are welcome to wait until you do. So far, I have never had a package lost in the mail, or go undelivered.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you should receive a doll with any parts broken, I'll gladly repair the dolls, and reimburse you for the shipping, for free. Just send it back, and I'll return it in working order. There are some damages which cannot be repaired, in which case I'll happily replace your doll in exchange for the damaged one. So far this has not happened.
