This print is so very lovely.....for anyone who knows these tiny birds, you will know that this is exactly how they cuddle up in the shrubs to sleep. I love the work of this very talented lady, and cannot recommend her little gallery highly enough. Thank you so very much. Cheers :-) xxxxxxx
Here he is.....Fat Willie! What a garden bossy boots he is, but it wouldn't be a garden without at least one of the little "self important" treasures flitting about. I love them, and this lovely little print captures him perfectly. A big thank you to this wonderful little wild life gallery. Cheers :-) xxxxxxxxxxxx
This lovely print reminds me of the little families of wrens that used to "infest" the bushes around my father's garden :-) A gorgeous picture of the kids cuddled up together waiting for mum to get back with the breakfast on a crisp country morning.... :-) How I love the prints I find in this lovely little gallery, so well worth a browse. Thank you so much. Cheers :-) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
These are the little jewels that live in WA, however, not generally in Perth. I have seen them in the shrubs and bushes of the Margaret river area, and they are amazing little birds. Truly splendid as their name suggests, and so beautifully captured in this extraordinary print. I love it :-) Thank you so very much. Cheers :-) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Here he is....king of his patch and wearing his best blue clothes. Isn't he wonderful :-) This is an extraordinary little print and I love it. I highly recommend a visit to the little gallery of this very talented lady. All her works will make you smile. Thank you so much. Cheers :-) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The real ruler of the roost, Jenny wren rounds up the kids, shepherds them around the garden and feeds them while she keeps her eye on everything else that's going on around the garden. What a cutie! I love her, and this beautiful little print captures her perfectly. A very big thank you to this talented lady and her wonderful little gallery. Cheers :-) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
In Perth we have no garden wrens :-( This extraordinarily beautiful print reminds me of the many, many tiny birds that used to "busy liz" about my garden in Queensland. How I miss them, how I love them :-) A big thank you to this very talented lady. I highly recommend that you visit this wonderful little gallery. It will make you smile. Cheers :-) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Gorgeous. Will buy many more from you...thanks for another great transaction!!
I have three passions in my life: my family, painting and animals. I am lost without my brushes and paint. I live to paint.
I live on the mid north coast of New South Wales in Australia. My husband and I have built our home on a 25 acre property that is surrounded by state forest. Because we live so close to the forest, the bird life in our garden is amazing. Rainbow Lorikeets, Honey Eaters, Kookaburras, Kingfishers, Eastern Rosellas, Bower Birds and so many more birds visit our garden every day. We also enjoy watching the wild kangaroos and wallabies that graze on our grass. We are incredibly lucky! The paintings in my shop reflect my love for animals and nature. I hope that I capture some of the personality and charm of the animals and birds that inspire me.
I have been an artist all my life and art was undoubtedly my favourite subject at school. I taught adult acrylic painting classes for 14 years and I have had many of my paintings featured in Australian Art and Craft magazines. However after 14 years I grew tired of using acrylic paint so I put my brushes away for four years while I completed a teaching degree at university.
When I finished my degree I didn’t realise how difficult it would be to secure a permanent teaching position. I had to make do with relief teaching for many years. I waited each morning for the phone to ring hoping that a teacher would be ill and I would step into their classroom for the day.
To occupy myself in between teaching days I decided to try my hand at watercolour painting. It was something I had tried in the past but had never had any success with. I am so pleased that I did try again. I painted day and night and produced a new painting each day. I was learning something new with each painting. I started with small A5 watercolour paper then I moved to A4 size paper. Now I have progressed to painting on full sheets. I love the unpredictable nature of watercolour. I love the vibrance of the hues and I thrive on the challenge that each painting brings. Sometimes I master it and at other times I don't.
I am so pleased I found Etsy because I now have a place to share my art. I must acknowledge and thank my fabulous and supportive husband who has been dragged around many zoos and wildlife sanctuaries since I started selling my paintings and prints on Etsy. He looks after the printing and technical side of the business which leaves me to pursue the creative side. All of my prints are printed on beautiful, textured fine art archival paper with Epson UltraChrome inks. My original paintings and prints are packed with love and care and arrive flat in a rigid cardboard envelope.
I have just opened a second shop on Etsy where I sell digital prints that you can download yourself and print yourself. https://www.etsy.com/shop/Whizzprints
