Silver Artisan Jewelry Handcrafted in New Paltz, NY

LoveErica is a team of two young designers / entrepreneurs who value simplicity, quality, cohesion and being a part of the small business movement. All of our products are made with sterling silver (925+) and will last years with proper care.

Handcrafting jewelry requires attention to small detail: our relationship with silver is an intimate one. Due to the small size of most of our pieces we must get up close and personal in order to transform the silver and nature's beautiful gemstones into wearable art.


The purpose of wearing jewelry is to convey something about your personality. Those who buy and wear our jewelry are those who value individuality and would rather have something unique and not mass produced. Many of our items have a handmade quality to them: marks that show they were made by an individual for an individual. We make our rings with our own hands to be worn on others' hands. By wearing our jewelry you are directly connected to us. Together, the handmade movement is a woven interconnected web.


History:

When Erica was in high school, any drawing, painting, or photograph given to a friend was signed "Love, Erica" on the back. When she started a small Etsy store selling photo prints in college, this affectionate signature became the store name--conveying the more personal, intimate nature of a small handmade store. This adventure in online selling inspired her to take a jewelry class, where Erica was mesmerized by the capabilities of her own two hands. She took this newfound creativity with her when she moved to Vermont in 2010, where she met her partner, Sean--who also had some experience handcrafting silver jewelry. Since 2011 they have been working together to handmake wearable pieces for their customers.

Every single piece of jewelry in our shop has been handcrafted with great care and love. Most are Made To Order items which means we only start making it after we receive the order. These are our shop policies, our business terms, that you agree to by purchasing an item from our shop.

Payment
We accept payment through Etsy's Direct Checkout and PayPal. You can use your credit or debit card with either of these options.



Both are secure ways to make payments on the internet --your payment information stays secure and the only thing we get to see is your shipping address.




We only start working on made-to-order products until after the payment has cleared. (Please note that if you pay with an eCheck via PayPal, they take about 1 week to clear and it will delay your order.)
Shipping
Our current turn-around time is listed on our announcements and on each listing.  This is the time it takes from purchase, to when we mail your item. Add this to the delivery time to get your purchase to delivery date.

All of our orders are wrapped with tissue paper, tied up with cotton twine and mailed in a sturdy cardboard box (made with recycled materials). This will ensure each and every item will arrive at its destination safe and presentable. 

If you're buying our items as a gift, we can mail it directly to the lucky recipient. Let us know and we'll include a note from you (tell us what you want written on it) for no additional charge.



US BUYERS – We mail domestic orders via USPS First Class Mail (*3-5 business days) with delivery confirmation by default. We are happy to mail via USPS Priority Mail (*2-3 business days) and/or with signature confirmation for an additional charge. All orders over $250 are required by Etsy to be mailed with signature confirmation and we will do so for no additional cost.



INTERNATIONAL BUYERS - We mail all international orders (unless otherwise specified) via USPS Priority International (*6-10 business days) with insurance by default. We ask our international customers to please be patient while waiting for their order to arrive. In the rare event that your order is lost or not delivered after 30 days in transit, contact us and we can fill out an insurance claim. The insurance claim process requires customer participation (you must fill out a simple form confirming the non-delivery), at which point we can either issue a full refund or resend a new order.
> If your order arrives damaged, please save the box (required by our insurance agency) and together we can fill out an insurance claim.



Although we can include tracking through Etsy, please be aware that we can only guarantee your order will be tracked WITHIN the US. Once it reaches an export destination (most often through Jamaica, NY) we will be unable to pinpoint where your package is. However, we have had some buyers take the tracking number we provide to their local post office and track it on their end. 



International buyers are responsible for import taxes or any additional costs associated with international shipping.





*Please note that DELIVERY TIMES for both domestic and international shipping ARE ESTIMATED and are not guaranteed, although most orders do arrive within that time. If we could hand deliver each and every order, we would. Since that is not an option, if you feel your order is taking too long to arrive please contact us and we will help you look into it.

Our RUSH Shipping guarantees your item will be in the mail within 5 business days from the purchase date (no matter what our current turnaround time is), and upgrades to USPS Priority Mail (estimated 2-3 business days).  International buyers, please note that although you should receive your item within 21 days, it may vary depending on your country's customs process.  We can only file an insurance claim if it has not arrived within 45 days.
Refunds and Exchanges
For the holiday season, we will be accepting exchanges of all unworn items until January 7th.

After December 25th, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery date.

We require that you contact us prior to sending items back so we can walk you through our exchange process. Exchanges can be made for another item or for store credit.  We will ship the first exchange item to you for free.  If you are unsure about exactly what ring size you would like to exchange an item for, we recommend purchasing one of our $1 ring sizers.

1. How do I figure out my ring size?
We offer affordable ring sizers (for sale in our shop) to ensure your size according to our standards.

3. Would you be interested in selling your products in my store?
We love working with brick and mortar shops. If you are interested in working with us please contact us with information about your business.

4. What happens if my order does not arrive in time?
All times listed are only estimated. All US orders come with tracking and delivery confirmation. 5. How should I take care of my new jewelry?
Silver is a precious metal and should be handled with care. It scratches easier than most costume jewelry and so we recommend being cautious with your jewelry if you want it to last a long time. That includes taking it off before swimming, bathing and sleeping. Try to keep it away from household chemicals and away from damp environments. It should only be cleaned with a jewelry polisher and silver cream (available at most grocery stores). Please note that cleaning silver with products that aren't designed to clean fine jewelry may scratch the surface.

We also include anti-tarnishing tabs in the box your jewelry arrived in. To prevent tarnishing while in storage we recommend you put the jewelry and the tab into an air tight container. You should replace the tab every 6 months.

6. Help! My sterling silver jewelry turned a different color!
The finish of any piece of silver jewelry will degrade with wear. Polished surfaces will become dull and tarnish, satin surfaces will lose their luster, and blackened finishes will fade. Silver bonds with sulfur (to form silver sulfide) and tarnishes. This is why silver may tarnish unexpectedly when exposed to some household cleaners, skin products, etc. Polished finishes can be maintained with the polishing cloth we sell in our store or polishing cream (sold in most grocery stores), although be aware these methods will remove any satin or blackened finishes. Our satin and blackened finishes require professional equipment to apply and so we recommend taking care of, and wearing these pieces gently in order to help the finish last. If you have any questions or concerns about how to care for a specific piece please contact us, we'd be happy to help.


7. May I use your images?
We own the rights to all of our images and have copyrighted them before uploading them to the internet. We are honored if you'd like to feature our photos/jewelry on your website, blog, etc, and all we ask is that you properly link back to us. If you would like to feature our photo, you must provide photo credit on or next to the image to XOE Jewelry AND include a link back to OUR shop where the item can be purchased. Our images MAY NOT be used to sell or promote items that aren't ours.
