The painting came in and though the picture itself is ok, the overall quality is poor. The canvas is dirty and coming off the frame.

My apologies the painting did not meet your expectations; I've refunded the entire purchase and hope the painting will still be of some value to you. Regarding the quality, our paintings are made by students around the ages of 8-12 and that includes the building of the frame and stretching of the canvas. In order that each student may have a chance to sell a painting and earn a little money, we try and list at least one painting for each student, even if the painting is not of perfect quality. I tried to place a note regarding this in all of our listings, but perhaps it was not clear. I hope you will consider us again in the future.

Absolutely stunning work! My fiancé lived in Guatemala for two years and was missing it a lot, so I bought this for our future house and he was just ecstatic to see it on the wall! Crazy fast shipping and you absolutely can’t beat the price point for such a beautiful piece of original art. Thank you so much for all you do to bring Guate into the homes and hearts of many!

Wow, I am THRILLED about this painting!!! Please let Telma know that she is one talented lady, there is so much wonderful texture in the painting and she used the reflection technique in the water and sidewalks so well. I love it so much. I also had no idea until I visited www.loveguatepaintings.org about this: “Love Guatemala Paintings sells artwork from the students, graduates, and teachers of The School of Art, a 3 year program located in Magdalena, Guatemala as part of the Love Guatemala Vocational Training Center. Love Guatemala is a movement of individuals, businesses, and churches showing a generous love to the people of Magdalena and surrounding villages.” So awesome!

Welcome to the Love Guatemala Paintings Store!

Love Guatemala Paintings sells artwork from the students, graduates, and teachers of The School of Art, a 3 year program located in Magdalena, Guatemala as part of the Love Guatemala Vocational Training Center. Love Guatemala is a movement of individuals, businesses, and churches showing a generous love to the people of Magdalena and surrounding villages. Love Guatemala exists to give hope through sharing the gospel of Jesus and through vocational training to help break the cycle of poverty in the community of Magdalena, Guatemala, and beyond. Together we've launched and manage trade schools, offer micro-financing, student sponsorship and holistic support in a faith-based capacity.

The art students work on perfecting their drawing and painting skills in order to create unique paintings of their own to sell. Students also learn other crafts such as making jewelry and pottery. The proceeds of each purchase made from the Love Guatemala Paintings store go directly to the artist who created the piece.
