Welcome to Matthew + Mae!

Welcome and thanks so much for visiting Matthew + Mae. My company began back in 2011 when I was designing my daughter Alivia Mae’s nursery. It was always my goal that my children’s rooms would be a unique and beautiful space made just for them. Having handmade every aspect of décor in my son Eli Matthew’s nursery, I knew for sure I had to do the same for my daughter. Of course Alivia had to have her own whimsical and girly nursery mobile! Unable to find exactly what I was looking for anywhere else, I decided to create my daughter’s mobile myself. When I began this creative process I had so many ideas- I couldn’t decide on just one! So Matthew + Mae began as an outlet for my creativity and my desire to be able to create unique, one-of-a-kind mobiles for other mom-to-be’s as well.

Over the years, Matthew + Mae has grown to include felted wool products as well. Not only do I carry a line of felt ball nursery mobiles, but also offer felt ball garlands for any type of home and holiday décor. I am thrilled to be able to help you decorate for not only nurseries and children’s rooms, but for all aspects of your home and life events.

Matthew + Mae products now reside in all 50 U.S. States and DOZENS of countries around the world! My mobiles and garlands have been featured in magazines such as American Baby, and mobiles have even been featured on the sets of two television shows- ABC'S Scandal and TNT's Rizzoli & Isles!

I take pride and pleasure in being able to create one of a kind items and I hope you will love your Matthew + Mae products as much as I enjoy making them!

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges
Contact me within: 7 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 14 days of delivery
I don't accept cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
Custom made items are not eligible for returns/exchanges as the item would have been made to your specifications. Wholesale purchases are not eligible for refunds.

Please contact me right away if there is a problem. Return requests must be received within 7 days of item receipt, and items must be shipped back within 14 days of receipt, with the item(s) returning to me in their original condition. Products that return damaged to me will not be eligible for the return or exchange.

For orders that qualified for free shipping, a 10% restocking fee will be charged to cover initial shipping costs and handling.

Purchaser is responsible for return shipping. I will not provide a refund for items that are lost or damaged on their way back to me. All returns MUST be shipped with either delivery confirmation or some other form of tracking. If eligible for a refund, it will be provided AFTER product has been returned safely. Original shipping charges, and any rush order fees will not be refunded.

*****Mobiles must be returned in their original BOX or another sturdy BOX (NO ENVELOPES or padded mailers! If returned in an envelope the mobile will most likely be squished or broken and will not eligible for a refund). All garlands and strands of mobiles must be secured as well, similar to how the garland or mobile arrived, or else tangling WILL occur during the return shipping, and will then not be eligible for a refund.******

Please make sure the address you provide via Etsy and Paypal are correct. Refunds will not be provided for items that are not delivered due to incorrect addresses on the part of the buyer.

Refunds will not be provided for international items that go unclaimed.

Refund will occur in the same manner original payment was made. For example, I cannot refund to a different credit card than was used in the original transaction.
Payment
I accept all major credit cards and Paypal.

For custom orders, listing must first be purchased before I begin creating your product.
Shipping
I will notify you when I ship so you know your order is on its way!

**DOMESTIC ORDERS**
I ship via USPS Priority or First Class mail depending on the size of your purchase. Delivery Confirmation will be provided for shipments within the United States.

**INTERNATIONAL ORDERS**
For international orders, I ship via USPS First Class Mail International. Tracking will only available while the package is in the U.S, and tracking will stop in Chicago, IL where the package leaves the international sorting facility. Delivery confirmation will then be shown when the package is delivered to you.

Customers are responsible for knowing and abiding by any import restrictions to their country from the US. Buyers are responsible for all customs fees, taxes, tariffs, or receiving fees incurred. Sorry, I will NOT lie on customs forms so please don’t ask.

Refunds will not be provided for international items that go unclaimed.

Items being held in customs may cause extended delays up to a month or more. Unfortunately I have no control over this, and am not responsible for these delays, however I always ship promptly with the correct customs paperwork.

You will receive a Shipping Notice on day of shipment. Should you not receive your order, notification must be within 30 days of the Shipping Notice "SENT" date. Exceptions are international orders in which case you have 45 days from Shipping Notice "SENT" date to notify us. We will do everything we can to track your delivery.

Sizing details

We offer both small and large sized mobiles

♥♥RIBBON HOOP BASE♥♥

Large size are made from a 10” hoop, but will be 12" in diameter after finished with the tied ribbon strips & the shapes, and are approx. 34-36" long. They are fuller than the small mobiles in the amount of shapes. Small mobiles have a finished diameter of 10" and are approximately 27" long.

♥♥FELT BALL MOBILES WITH BURLAP HOOP♥♥

Large size are 10" in diameter and approx. 36" long. They have close to 2.5x the amount of felt shapes as the small mobiles. Small mobiles are approx. 8" in diameter and approx. 32" in length from very top of hanging string to bottom of lowest hanging felt ball**

Can you custom colors? Shapes?

Yes! We love creating custom pieces so send us a message and let us know what you are looking for.

Can you hang the mobile from a crib arm?

Because of the length of the mobile strands, for safety reasons we do not recommend hanging from a crib arm. Make sure mobiles are out of baby’s reach.

What if I have tall ceilings?

We can include a length of the clear wire which you can use to hang the mobile lower with. Just write us a message in the “note to seller” section during checkout if you would like that included.

How long will it take to create my mobile?

Our current production can be found on our shop homepage in the announcement section.

Do you offer a rush service?

Yes! We offer a rush service where we can create your mobile in 3 days instead of our current stated production time. This is a $15 fee and this option can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/130287764/rush-order-add-on?ref=shop_home_active_3 and can be added to your shopping cart along with your mobile selection.
