Announcement
I am slowly getting things sorted since my husband's illness. More things will be put up as I can get to them. Thank you for your patience and your thoughtful emails of support.
I am still unable to have a photographer or studio assistant in the studio. This makes things slower still. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Etsy has again increased its fees, for no apparent reason. I am therefore having to up some of my prices to compensate. They now take slightly more 30% of the sale price in various fees. None of the sellers on Etsy have any control over this trend. If it continues the only sellers left will be the Chinese and Turkish factories that seem to be favored. Please check the information provided about the sellers to be sure that you are supporting individual artists/craft people and not sweat shops. If you want hand made items, it is important that you have accurate information about the maker you are supporting. I apologize about sounding like a sour grape. Etsy was a brilliant supporter of individual makers when it started out. It isn't any more.
Working from home: Mary M. Adams (writer and editor) is my bookkeeper, editor of the listings, and sometime model.
Using only the very best of conflict free and recycled materials that are available, I create lustrous, luxurious pearl and gemstone jewelry to last a lifetime - and beyond. I strive to create objects that are as individual as each person who might enjoy them. Check the listing of the piece you are interested in for specific details. Custom orders are welcome. Please feel free to ask questions.
Most of my designs can be ordered in various colors of gold, or several types of silver. Also platinum and palladium. The great majority of my pieces (99.8%) are made using reclaimed metals. Please feel free to inquire about any design you are interested in to see if I can make it in the metal and color of your choice.
I use Canadian earth mined Diamonds or Certified Conflict free diamonds from Botswana DTC. As an alternative, I can get Cubic Zirconia or Moissanite gemstones. I am trying out some lab made Diamonds, but have found that I must be careful of their source. Many are made in China in factories run be the Chinese military. In white gemstones other alternatives would include white topaz, white sapphire, or Zircon (a naturally occurring gemstone).
Colored gemstones include sapphires, emeralds and rubies. Several different colored semiprecious gemstones are also available. Just let me know what you are interested in.
I specialize in carefully sourced and sustainable pearls from around the world. I am very, very picky about my pearls. Types include, Akoya, Freshwater, Tahitian, South Seas, and a few Golden (South Sea). If you are interested in a particular type or color of pearl, please let me know. I might have some here, or I can ask my suppliers what they have.
Pearls are unique by their very nature since they are organic gemstones. I hunt the best quality pearls available from all over the world. I do not use glass, plastic, shell or other factory made pearls. All my Pearls were made by an actual oyster or mussel bivalve. Some are grown in salt water oceans, some in freshwater lakes or streams.
Pricing is reflective of the quality of my designs. Please keep in mind that approximately 1/3 of the price goes to Etsy one way or another.
In keeping with ETSY's site wide policy on domestic shipping, LusterWear now offers FREE SHIPPING on items priced over $35.00. Orders that cost in total more than $35.00 will ship free within the United States (free shipping eligible).
International shipping is available to some locations. Contact me for details.
Since the costs for shipping outside of the United States can vary greatly, I am unable to offer free shipping outside of the United States.
Currently included with each order is my standard random gift wrapping at no additional charge. If you need extra special gift wrapping with a gift receipt and/or card which would include your greeting, Etsy has provided a "Add gift wrapping" link with a $4.00 upcharge. Let me know your message in the comments section upon check out. It might be wise to also convo me just to give me a heads up with your needs. I hate slip ups and I expect you do too! Thank you!!
The ring sizing, casting and all that stuff that I am not zoned for where I live, or that would give my insurance agent the heavie geavies, is done at Jewel-Craft in Erlanger, KY by Mike and Angie. They see to it that everything is done exactly to my specifications.
I usually have two assistants at any given time. With the exception of Mary Adams, they are always both University of Kentucky students. They come from many diverse backgrounds. Due to the current virus uncertainty, I currently have no student helpers. Mary Adams is my bookkeeper, sometimes model, and editor of posting information. She is working from home.
Thank you for looking! Enjoy LusterWear!

Return Policy
I accept returns within 14 days of purchase with no questions asked. Items must be received back in my studio within 21 days of purchase.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Refunds will be promptly issued for your purchase price minus the cost to ship to you. e.g. You purchase an item for $100.00 and return the item. Because the shipping/tracking/insurance cost was included in that price your refund would be less than $100.00. If the shipping/tracking/insurance cost was $10.00, your refund would be $90.00.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
