About

The Ole Bead 'n Chain, LLC

I started beading the end of 2007. I had been selling lingerie and I wanted a business that my family wouldn't be embarrassed to tell others what I do. There have been some ups and downs, but I try to savor the ups so I can get through the downs.

When I created the business, I also created "The HartLee Collection." It is named after a bear that contains the hair of my mom, sister, brother, and myself - all shaved when I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2003. HartLee was a "Stuff Yourself" bear kit from Michaels that, ironically, came with a teal sweater! He got his name from my oncologist, Dr. Hart, and my OB-GYN, Dr. Lee. All pieces in the HartLee Collection contain teal colored beads. Teal is the color for Ovarian Cancer Awareness. I hope that one day, we will see as much teal ribbons in the world as we do pink ones!

As I'm slowing down with the business now (for numerous reasons), I hope to keep periodically making beaded items, but also perhaps selling a few other oddities as I try other crafts!

Thanks for stopping by! I will be primarily selling beaded items that I made while I was running my business, The Ole Bead 'n Chain, LLC. I am working on selling off pieces I had made to show at craft shows.

You may also see a lot of teal-colored jewelry. They were part of my "HartLee Collection" to help spread awareness of Ovarian Cancer - which I was diagnosed with on September 19, 2003 - at the age of 23.

Shipping
Everything will be shipped within 2 business days. If, for some reason, I am unable to, I will let you know.

I automatically include delivery confirmation and insurance with ALL purchases. This is for my protection, as well as for your's.

If it costs more than that because you are purchasing numerous items, I'll eat the additional cost! So make sure you find everything you want and have it shipped at once!!

At this time, I am not selling outside of the United States. If you are outside of the United States and are interested in something, please let me know. We can work something out. Buyer is responsible for all costs (including for customs) of shipping outside of the United States.
Refunds and Exchanges
Items are sold "as is" and are final.
Additional policies and FAQs
At this time (August, 2012), I am not doing custom orders (unless it may say something in the post). The reason being is that I am planning on moving soon, so I am not getting new craft items until after we move (so I don't have to pack it! LOL). So I want to sell what I have so I can make more!! Once we move and I have an official craft room, I'll see about changing this! :-)

As long as I have gift boxes, all purchases (unless otherwise stated in the post) will be shipped in a gift box (my hubby was less than pleased when we moved last and moved boxes of empty boxes! LOL). If something says that it will NOT be shipped in a box, ask me. One of the most frustrating things, in my opinion, is getting a gift to give someone and not having a box. :-) My goal is to make sure you don't have those frustrations!

Please note that some pieces may be 2 or 3 years old. All pieces have been at craft shows. I am not claiming that any of these pieces were just "made yesterday."

Communication is key!! If you have any questions regarding a piece, please convo me before purchasing.

All items come from a smoke-free home, however I do have 2 cats.
