Announcement   Hand Painted • Washable • Scratch Resistant • Lustrous • One of a Kind

Designs are hand painted in lustrous colors to make each functional piece one of a kind. All items are heat-set for scratch resistance and can be washed with warm soapy water.

Invoices are *not* included in the packaging/shipping of your purchases.

• Shipping to Gift Recipients:
In the "note to seller" section at checkout, leave your "to/from" names or a short note to be hand written with your gift. Select the gift wrap option for an additional $5 and your purchase will be bundled in beautiful, eco-friendly fabric wrap.

• Personalization:
Personalizations include color substitutions and name/date add-ons (non-calligraphic) which come at no extra charge. Simply state these preferences in the "note to seller" section at checkout.

• Customizations
Customizations include altering an original MEKU design (ie. perhaps you'd like one of my fox designs but prefer he/she be wearing a hat- I can do that!) as well as creating an entirely new design.

I love creating custom pieces. My art can be applied to virtually any non-porous surface (glassware + ceramics) so even with a general idea of what you are looking for, we can collaborate to create something beautiful, unique, and within your budget. I'm also available to create favors for special events and weddings.

About

I Was a Messy Kid

My parents used to think I was a mischievous kid who purposely broke all of her crayons only to vandalize their home with the pieces. But I distinctly remember having all the best intentions. After all, I wasn't actually "breaking" my crayons. I was just doubling them- turning one crayon into two. This way, if I was coloring with a friend, we could both use the same color at the same time. Also, I wasn't "vandalizing" my parents' walls, furniture, carpets, etc... I was enhancing them with art! They received my first mural... for free!

This memory begs me to question just how far we stray from our childhood selves and curiosities. I still have a problem-solving mindset (and sure, my solutions aren't always elegant) and I still paint on products for the home. I just do it a bit more tactfully now.

My creative energy probably could have taken me in many different directions. I love exploring various artistic mediums, traveling, learning about cultures and people around the world, and am also such a foodie.

I took to painting dinnerware though because the dining experience in itself has always meant so much to me. Food and drinks have always been the key to putting people in their element and bonding. I wanted to add art to dining pieces to further personalize these moments and make them all the more memorable.
