MIZZENBLUE's Shop Policies
All packages dispatched to customers from Mizzen Blue in West Cork located in the Republic of Ireland are sent by registered mail . This is the only available service which provides a tracking number and in most instances , part of the postal cost is undertaken by Mizzen Blue .
The tracking number provided by An Post , the mail service company in the Republic of Ireland , will be supplied with the shipping notification .
Registered mail delivered to the provided shipping address will require a signature which may not always be convenient for some customers who may prefer to have the item delivered directly to their place of employment . If this is the case ,please be sure to provide the address which will best serve the purpose of delivery without complications or inconvenience .
In the instance when 2 items are purchased at one time , the two will be dispatched for the price of the sum quoted for a single item . This applies only to small or lightweight items such as jewellery and silk or synthetic scarves .
It does not apply to items of clothing .
Although Mizzen Blue frequently pays the balance between shipping price quoted on the listing and the actual cost charged by An Post , it cannot afford to ship multiple items of clothing within a single mailer . Unfortunately ,the overseas postal charge from the Republic of Ireland escalates dramatically when the weight of a parcel goes beyond a set price band .Packages which weigh above 2 kilos qualify for parcel rates which can increase the charge of shipping by 100%.
Buyers who wish to purchase multiple items are asked to contact Mizzen Blue who will decide on the best method of packing to avoid the surcharge of Parcel Rate and is prepared to do all that is necessary to ensure the buyer obtains the best possible available rate.
The last postal collection prior to the weekend takes place at 3.05 pm on Friday afternoon . The first collection after the weekend is two days later on Monday at 3.05 pm.
Depending on the location , a registered package may take between six to ten days to arrive at its destination ,sometimes longer due to adverse weather conditions . Unfortunately , Mizzen Blue is unable to guarantee when a delivery will arrive or undertake requests for Express due to the service proving unreliable in the past ..
Mizzen Blue strives hard to deliver goods as swiftly and securely as possible and a brief line of acknowledgement regarding safe delivery is always greatly appreciated .
Refunds and Exchanges
Great care and attention is given to ensure all listings on Mizzen Blue accurately describe the item and condition with details and direction towards flaws and defects in the vintage category of clothing , accessories and jewellery .
Should an item fail through oversight or error to include a detail or defect in the listing that should have been brought to the attention of the purchaser , full co-operation will be provided in resolving the matter initially through Convo in an sincere attempt to reach an amicable and satisfactory resolution .
In the very rare event of an item not corresponding to the description on the listing to provide grounds for a justified complaint ,of 'not as described ' or 'externally damaged " a full refund will be issued through Paypal on the condition the goods are returned in original condition plus the wrappings of tissue ,gift box and outer waterproof mailer or protective envelope . This is required so the source of the complaint or an incident of accidental damage during shipping can be assessed and presented to the appropriate authorities .
Refunds will be facilitated through Pay Pay .
