Native Houstonian and Texan, Michelle Chan, studied Fashion Merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City in pursuit of her love for fashion and culture.

Years to come she realized she also developed a passion for DIY and handwritten projects and thus Michelle's interest in calligraphy was discovered! She first started out as a simple admirer of other wonderful and talented calligraphers in Texas and all over the world. It wasn't until her friend approached about taking a calligraphy workshop that she fell in love with the art of calligraphy.

Like every new beginner she had to learn somewhere if she were even going attempt this facet of art. "Practice makes perfect", as calligraphers would say and she was so honored when my best friend entrusted in her to address her wedding invitations. After realizing how much she enjoyed creating something so lovely for someone so near and dear to my heart, she knew she had run with this feeling and that's how her Etsy store was born!

Michelle's calligraphy is all hand done and based out of her home studio in Vista, CA and she gets her inspiration from art, culture, traveling, nature, and simply from her friends.
