My name is Larry, and I have a small woodshop in my basement and I love making things. I make hand turned items such as pens, bowls, salt and pepper mills, bottle stoppers and lamps. I'm a self taught woodturner and I'm learning more and more as time goes by. I also make other items that will be listing from time to time. I hope you'll stop by regularly to see what I've been working on.
I'm always happy to take custom orders. If you see something that you like but you want it in a different type of wood or something like that I'd be happy to customize the item to meet your needs. I can do salt an pepper mills in different sizes and woods. I can also make other items like small tables, boxes, souvenir spoon racks, picture frames and I've even made a couple of guitars before so if there's something you want feel free to ask me. (I'm not making guitars at this time, though)
If multiple items are purchased I will combine shipments and charge only for the one shipment. Additional shipping cost already paid will be refunded. Convo me prior to purchase to get combined shipping cost.

5 out of 5 starsWow - you weren't kidding when you said "spectacular grain!" It is amazing to turn the bowl and see how this wood grew. The wood complexity is intense resulting in a beautiful, quilted, chatoyant piece of Silver Poplar with wild grain. WONDERFUL BOWL!!!!!

This was purchased to give as a birthday gift and it’s perfect!! It arrived earlier than anticipated and very carefully packaged. I messaged the seller and he was very helpful and responsive (I contacted him to make sure it would arrive before the birthday. It did!!). I will certainly buy from MLCWoodworks again. The gold is really striking, with the depth and saturation you'd expect from 24k, and finish is smooth but pleasantly wooden under the fingers. It's quite slender for a Parker-style pen, too -- not quite a slimline, but close. Beautiful, beautifully made, and a bargain at the price. MLC does gorgeous work!
