Announcement   We need a little Christmas now...why wait until December for that holiday feeling? Everything in my shop is on sale. New items posted daily, so come back often.

How did you come to appreciate vintage design? Personally, my love of vintage started with watching the old Hollywood movies in black and white on TV. Almost immediately I was aware that I loved the accessories, the clothing and the overall look much more than I was interested in the plots.

From that start I moved on to appreciate the art of beads and well-made vintage clothing. I still wear vintage and love the quality of those items. One of my goals is to help others appreciate beautiful pieces from the past and see how easy it is to enjoy them now.

I also re-purpose vintage brooches, broken earrings and magnificent beads into magnetic-back brooches. Women appreciate that these can be worn so many ways and can completely change the look of an outfit, a hat, a handbag, or make it easier to wear a scarf without tying it.

My brooches begin with a vintage piece, which I then embellish for its new re-styled life. All of them are innovative, stylish, user friendly and versatile. As with my other jewelry, each brooch is unique to you because no design is ever repeated. If you have any requests for a color or particular style, let me know. I have so many more that are not listed yet.

In my shop each design is one of a kind, designed and made by me alone. I love to use many of the vintage components I have collected over the years and incorporate contemporary beads of all kinds in my pieces. You can be sure that when you wear a piece from MPP Designs no one else will have another one like it!

You will also find some exquisite vintage pieces for sale here; some clothing, some jewelry and some accessories. Be assured that any vintage item you buy from me is very wearable, in fact something I would be proud to wear myself.

Read more about my background and policies in the Profile Section. Thank you for visiting my etsy site and happy shopping.

Unfortunately USPS has increased shipping prices as of January 2016 for all classes of service. My shipping rates must include those costs. There are benefits for multiple purchases shipped together. Contact me with any questions about shipping. If actual costs are less than my estimate I will, as always, issue a partial refund to the buyer.

About

MPP Designs is here to help you achieve your best look and feel wonderful about yourself.

For years making jewelry with vintage components and using fabulous vintage items in my daily wear was a personal "hobby". After I left the corporate world I decided to actually live my passion and to make that style available to others too.
In my esty shop I feature handmade jewelry that I personally design and make with as many vintage components as possible. I also sell beautiful vintage scarves, vintage clothing and lingerie.
Anything I sell in my shop is something I would be proud to wear myself. If there are any defects I will not sell that item. It there are issues with an item, but I think the item is otherwise too wonderful to pass up, I will list it and fully disclose the problem so you can make an informed decision about whether to buy it for yourself. You may shop with confidence at my shop.

My goal is to help make you and your world better, one gorgeous bead or vintage piece at a time! We are all uniquely beautiful and each accessory can help you tell the world about yourself.

Items I sell in my etsy shop are vintage. I adore vintage items of all kinds because each piece has lived a glorious life and will remind you that life is there to be lived, every time you wear it. In the description I always specify the condition of the item.

Some vintage pieces bear evidence of a past life, which some might see as scars or blemishes. I see them as proof of a much-loved past life and I aim to make those pieces wearable and loved again. One of my great pleasures is to take a well-worn piece that was once lovely and make it beautiful and something to treasure once again.

I will happily reserve one or more listings for a buyer. Any RESERVED listings are held for a maximum of 10 days. Thank you for your understanding.

Store Policies:

Vintage is now generally defined as something over 20 years old. Whenever possible, I try to determine and list the era for each vintage piece.

For the new beaded jewelry items, I design and make all of my pieces. No design is ever repeated. Because I love to showcase large-scale and interesting beads, necklaces are my design of choice.

Many of the pieces use at least some vintage beads or findings, because my love of costume jewelry started over 40 years ago when I fell in love with Art Deco jewelry. Learning how to repair vintage jewelry was my starting point and when some pieces could not be repaired, I gradually began to use those deco era components to make my own original designs. When my vintage collection seemingly took over the house, I established a retail store where I sold vintage and contemporary designer accessories.

Everything is made and stored in a smoke-free, pet-free home.

Payment:

I accept PayPal payment or Direct Credit Card payments on etsy in US Dollars.

Your item will be shipped only after your payment has been received and cleared.

Shipping:

All international buyers are responsible for the customs and fees in their own country. MPP Designs, as the Seller, assumes no financial responsibility for those charges because I have no way to know what those charges will be. All international shipments will be insured and tracked where possible.

I will insure each and every shipment from MPP Design. The incremental amount for insurance is invaluable for my piece of mind and for yours too.

All items are shipped via USPS within 24 hours of when your payment clears (excluding weekends and holidays). If I am going to be out of town for a day or two on a buying trip, I will post a note on the site to let buyers know that there will be a slight delay in the shipment and give them an option to cancel the order if they need something as soon as possible.

Returns and Exchanges:

Please contact me if you have any issues.

Any issue with a jewelry purchase should be referred to me within five days of the receipt of your order, so that it can be expeditiously handled. Return postage is the responsibility of the buyer.

For vintage items, please read my descriptions, in which I make every effort to be thorough and tell you everything that you need to know, from the overall condition to the exact sizing, as measured in inches.

Sizes have changed quite a bit over the decades, so please use the exact listed measurements to determine if the vintage garment will fit you. Do not rely on the listed vintage size label.

Please be aware that my policy is to NOT accept returns for vintage garments that do not fit. Use the listed measurements, compared to something that fits you well from your own closet, before you make the purchase. I will do my part by taking precise measurements, in US inches. If you have any questions about the fit of any item, please contact me BEFORE you purchase so we can discuss it in detail and if you wish, I can send more photos.

If you are ever concerned about any vintage item, for your own peace of mind, please ask me a question first before you purchase it. By their very nature vintage items are not new. The ones I sell are well-cared for, however they are not new and some amount of prior usage may be evident. If that is an issue for you, do not make the purchase. I do not want to have an unhappy customer and you do not want an item you are not happy to own.

Shipping costs have risen and I am still making every effort to keep my item prices affordable, so it helps each of us to be sure of your decision to buy.

If you have questions about any of my designs or my policies, or want to see more photos, please contact me.
