Todo comenzó con la compra de mi máquina de bordar, poco después del nacimiento de mi hija... era diciembre de 2002, y pensé que sería un bonito "juguete" para personalizar artículos para mi hijo (de 2 años en ese momento) y mi hija recién nacida.
Con muchos, muchos artículos personalizados, regalos de cumpleaños, regalos de boda, regalos de jubilación y artículos vendidos a amigos y familiares más tarde, he decidido ir un poco más allá con mis creaciones. He disfrutado especialmente haciendo artículos para el capítulo Zeta Alpha de ZTA en la Universidad de Evansville (donde fui miembro y me gradué hace "unos" años) durante los últimos diez años. Recientemente obtuve la licencia para vender oficialmente artículos seleccionados de Zeta Tau Alpha y espero ofrecer excelentes opciones para obsequios para hermanas mayores o pequeñas, días de ofertas y obsequios para exalumnas.
Mi historia con cuentas es un poco similar... Estaba enamorada de una pulsera de hermandad en particular que realmente quería. Pero no me atrevía a pagar la gran suma de dinero que me pedían... ¡Simplemente SABÍA que podía hacerlo yo mismo! Entonces, después de comprar las cuentas, las herramientas y los suministros necesarios para hacer UNA pulsera, me di cuenta de que estaba enganchada... Tenía cuentas y suministros adicionales y seguí haciendo más pulseras, collares y otras creaciones para regalar y vender a amigos y familiares. .
Me he dado cuenta de que para mí todas las manualidades son más o menos así: ¡todo comienza con un pequeño proyecto y a partir de ahí crece como una bola de nieve!
Me enorgullezco de la artesanía y el detalle que pongo en mis artículos. ¡Espero que los disfrutes tanto como yo!
It all started with the purchase of my embroidery machine, shortly after the birth of my daughter...it was December 2002, and I thought it would be a neat "toy" to personalize items for my son (age 2 at the time) and my newborn daughter.
Many, many personalized items, birthday gifts, wedding gifts, retirement gifts, and items sold to friends and family later, I have decided to go a little broader with my creations. I have particularly enjoyed making items for the Zeta Alpha chapter of ZTA at the University of Evansville (where I was a member and graduated a "few" years ago) over the past ten years. I recently became licensed to officially sell select Zeta Tau Alpha items and I look forward to providing great options for big/lil sister gifts, bid day and alumnae gifts!
My beading story is kinda similar...I was enamored with one particular sorority bracelet that I really, really wanted. But, I couldn't bring myself to pay the large sum of money they were asking for it...I just KNEW I could make it myself! So, after purchasing the beads, tools and supplies needed to make that ONE bracelet, I realized I was hooked...I had extra beads and supplies and continued making more bracelets, necklaces and other creations for gifts and to sell to friends and family.
I've come to realize that all crafting is pretty much like that for me - it all starts with one small project and just snowballs from there!
I pride myself in the craftsmanship and detail that I put into my items. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
