Announcement   MU’ is an italian creativity laboratory founded in Palermo in 2003 by Cetti Davi’ and Dario Feo in which are developed design, art-design projects and creative thoughts.

In art-design field is carried out a research using unusual materials and particular processing techniques.

As result of the research with silicone rubber MU'trans, MU'shine and MU'light projects were born. Unique handcrafted pieces or limited edition.
Properties and limits of this material contribute to create unusual objects which stir up contrasting feelings. The objects created look like static but they become tender, elastic and mobile if touched; they start to vibrate and wave unexpectedly. The intent is to create emotional objects with own power that come to life through interaction with those who have a contact.
Through collaboration with a chemist it has been developed a method for coloring silicone, using particular oxides which maintain the resistance and brilliance unaltered.

In MU'trans and MU'light projects the home accessory is seen as a sculpture crossing the thin line between art and design.

MU'shine project is a production of hand-made art-design exclusive jewels. Small sculptures to wear, where silicone is sometimes combined with sterling silver.

The production is completely free from any industry process. every object is hand-made, so it’s unique and it comes with a progressive serial number certificate, attesting the authenticity and its only copy extant.

With their collection of home accessories and jewelry MU’ studio has participated to several exhibitions.

Sicilian Furoshiki is instead an aesthetic synthesis project of two ancient cultures: the Sicilian and the Japanese ones.
The first narrated through its textile tradition, with precious fabrics that show signs, geometries and colors as result of the many peoples and cultures that have mingled in this land, each one them leaving an indelible imprint that still characterized today, even if in a contemporary way, decorations and plots.
The second told through a lifestyle, the ancient tradition of Furoshiki, where a finely decorated and cleverly knotted fabric square becomes a bag for clothing, food, and gifts.
Elegant and effective gestures that express the essential.
In the Sicilian Furoshiki project all this blends into a contemporary fashion accessory that brings with it the history and tradition of two ancient cultures.
Here is presented "Damasco" a collection of bags with sophisticated Sicilian damask fabrics and five of the traditional Japanese Furoshiki techniques.
Sophisticated and ... seamless!

In 2011 they won the 1st place in the international competition "A' Design Award” winning the Platinum in "Art, Crafts and Ready-Made Design" category.
