About

A chance encounter...while (*gasp*) cleaning!

It all started on a very rare occasion - I was cleaning up my craft room in my house. I found a box of beads from college and suddenly got inspired to make a necklace. One necklace turned into ten, and it all began! From there, I happened to have a relative who works at a salon that sells handmade items in the shop. My mother-in-law suggested I try making headbands to sell. Now the main focus of my work, I can't thank my MIL enough for the headband suggestion!

My early work was, well, pretty awful. My husband has always been very supportive of my craft, but it wasn't until about six months into my beading endeavors that he admitted that he thought my first designs were...not my best...lol. I agreed and luckily had really started to develop pieces that people might actually want to buy -especially for weddings.

The former figure skater in me loves crystals and somehow, although I lose focus along the way for most other craft projects, small beads kept my attention. Looking back on my own wedding in 2009, I really wish I had started making jewelry sooner! I would have gladly traded my stuffy veil for a nice lightweight (and ouchless!) headband. Now I take great pride in making wedding pieces for soon to be brides. It is so gratifying to know you helped someone achieve the look they wanted on their special day. It is especially gratifying to have helped outfit brides all over the world!

I hope to continue to grow and expand my shop in the coming years and to keep putting smiles on brides' faces!
