I started Macie's Custom BowZ in 2007 when my daughter Macie was only 2 years old. Fabulous and unique boutique hair bows were hard to find on a budget. Frequently asked questions
Do you use grosgrain ribbon?
With the exception of burlap and maybe a formal hair bow, all of my hair bows are made with high quality grosgrain ribbon.
Are your clips lined with ribbon.
No, my clips are not lined. I found when my daughter was small that they stay in much better without.
Is the ribbon sealed to prevent fraying?
All ribbon ends are heat sealed to prevent fraying. After overuse and wear they may fray over time.
Are your bows made around pets?
My studio is 100% pet free!
Do you ship in an envelope or box?
All of my products ship in boxes. I never ship in envelopes.
What are alligator clips?
Alligator clips are the silver pointed clip that is similar to an alligator mouth. Mine are slick with no liner or teeth. These are great for thin/fine hair and smaller children, but it's a personal preference.
What is a french clip?
French clips are the clips that fasten shut with a spring in the center. I love these clips for thick hair, long hair, and older girls that wear a rubber band in the hair.
Shipping Costs, Carrier, Etc.
I ship standard USPS Shipping. Prices start at 3.30 for the 1st hair bow and increase to .50 cents extra per bow with most orders. All of my hair bows ship in cute white boxes so your hair bows are fluffy on arrival. I typically ship within 1-3 business days.
