I love my plant hanger. It is just as beautiful and well made as it looked on Ellen's picture. I received it very quickly and Ellen was a pleasure to work with. I'm sure I will be ordering additional plant hangers in the coming months. Thank you Ellen!

I have always been a creative person. Never very good at art or music, but I sure tried it all.

My dad was a traveling salesman for a thread & craft company when I was young, so I always had access to plenty of craft supplies. I am happy I had the opportunity to learn so many different crafts then.

I always had the most fun making macramé plant hangers, owls, frogs, purses, & belts.

Having a good bit of time off from my job in commercial seasonal decor in the "off-season", I was sitting around one day asking myself 'what is ONE thing I can do that I really enjoy doing & I'm good at that I might could make a little extra money at the same time. There are so many hobbies I enjoy that it took a bit to narrow it down to one thing to focus on.

Diiiinng! ~~~~~~ Macramé!

My boyfriend Google'd around a bit & found Etsy. I was happily surprised at how easy it is to do.
I was having a very hard time trying to come up with a shop name & one day as I was about to start tying knots he said to me "Happy macramaking!" So that is when my shop, Macramaking was born.

I enjoy curating treasuries and love digging for vintage materials.

I have used Alchemy several times and found some very creative people to help me gather unique custom made things to make my handmade macramé plant hangers even more unique.

Obsessed with growing plants, I am pretty focused on making plant hangers for now, and I hope someday soon to have time to make other things.

I have had some pretty unusual requests for custom items, other than plant hangers. That is a great way to learn how to make new things!

Being creative is very satisfying. I really appreciate every one who has enjoyed my macramé enough to support me in it.

Welcome to my Macramaking on Etsy!

I believe my style of creating natural looking macrame hanging baskets is truly unique. All items are designed by me, usually as they are being made.

All materials are new unless I happen to have special vintage materials, which will be in the description.

All macrame will change when exposed to the weather, but you can expect to enjoy these for many years.

I include tips for care at the time of purchase.

If there is something you are not happy with in a purchase, contact me and I am sure we can work it out.
