Announcement   One of a kind items handmade from recycled wool, cotton knit, and denim garments, as well as decorator materials .. Unique girl's skirts handmade from original designs. I love beautiful fabrics and hate to see so many wonderful remnants and cast off garments headed for the waste stream and the landfill..

In late 2009, I decided after years of home sewing garments to craft purses, and immediately turned to decorator fabrics for inspiration. I found, much to my dismay, that many upholsterers and designers have no plans for all the small pieces, samples, and remnants left over from their work.

I became inspired by the challenge of recycling or repurposing pieces and remnants of decorator fabrics and high end fabrics which might otherwise end up in the landfill. Most of my fabrics come from local independent upholsterers or small businesses, working their craft by hand.

I added sleeves and bags for tablet and portable electronic devices to my line in 2011. These itemswere also crafted from recycled upholstery and decorator fabric at first. Then I discovered how many lovely woven wool fabrics are discarded, and started making wool patchwork sleeves and covers. In 2012, I added sleeves made from upcycled blue jeans and other denim garments. Items for Apple products not on my web site are carried exclusively by Willl Tech Shop in Madison, WI (http://www.willytechshop.com/Local_Artists.html)

I began to make designs for little girls when my granddaughter Leetal was born 21/2 years ago. I have great fun designing these items, and make most of the items, skirts especially, to order. In 2012 I noticed so many cotton T shirts being discarded, and began to make skirts for women and for girls out of T shirts.

I welcome custom requests. It is so much fun to work with you to craft your vision.

I create one bag at a time, using decorator fabrics, vintage fabrics from my stash, new and old buttons, ribbons, etc. All fabrics have never been used, unless disclosed in the listing.

My bags are interfaced with a sturdy fabric, usually made of 100% cotton. I do not use spray on fabric protectors, as some people are sensitive to the chemicals. I would recommend that a fabric protector be applied to the lighter and more delicate fabrics.

All items are hand sewn and crafted by me in a smoke and pet free home.
