Welcome to MadScientistsDesigns! This shop is an eclectic mix of unusual and interesting items. I currently offer artisan jewelry and seasonal holiday ornaments.

All jewelry in my shop is handmade by me at my home in Florida. My home is smoke-free and pet friendly.

Payment

HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY PURCHASE?
My preffered method of payment is PAYPAL. I also accept Direct Checkout, and Etsy Gift-cards at this time.
NOTE: PayPal also allows non-member CREDIT CARD payments.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PAY?
Payment expected at checkout or convo me to make other arrangements. Payments not received or arrangements not made will result in transaction cancellation and item re-listing.

DO YOU CHARGE A SALES TAX?
Florida requires a sales tax to be paid by all FLORIDA RESIDENTS. At this time, all others do not pay sales tax.

Shipping

WHAT DOMESTIC SHIPPING SERVICE DO YOU USE?
I ship packages under 13oz via USPS 1st Class Mail w/ Delivery Confirmation for a flat rate that covers shipping and packaging materials costs. PayPal will send you an email with tracking information so that you can see where your package is.

Packages over 13oz ship the least expensive method of USPS Priority mail.

WHAT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING SERVICE DO YOU USE?
I ship USPS 1st Class International. Please note that buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.
**NOTE: I've had to raise my International shipping prices due to the recent increase in USPS postage. Any postage overage more than $1.00 will be refunded through PayPal if you provide me your information.

WHEN WILL YOU SHIP MY ORDER?
I generally ship within 3 (USPS) business days (sooner if possible).

WILL YOU INSURE MY PACKAGE?
Insurance is available at an additional cost. Please convo me or leave a note in the message to seller section at checkout. I will send a PayPal invoice for the additional amount. Package will not ship until adjusted payment clears.
PLEASE NOTE: Insurance is recommended for expensive and Internationally shipped items.

HELP! I NEED MY PACKAGE TO ARRIVE FAST!
Expedited shipping is available for an additional cost through PayPal. Leave a message at checkout with a request in the notes for buyer section and you will receive a new PayPal invoice for the additional shipping costs.
PLEASE NOTE: Package will not ship until adjusted payment clears.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS CHARGES:
The buyer is responsible for any customs charges. A completed Customs Form with the item and price will be with the package. We are not responsible for Customs delays.

Refunds and Exchanges

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY ORDER.
Providing excellent customer service is a top priority. I want you to be happy with your purchase. Please contact me if you have any problems so that we can work out a solution.

I CHANGED MY MIND OR I NO LONGER WANT MY PURCHASED ITEM(S).
No problem. Please contact me within 14 days from receipt of item: refunds given for item price after item is returned in the same condition it left here. Buyer pays return shipping.

HELP, MY ITEM ARRIVED BROKEN / DAMAGED.
Please send pictures of the damage with your email notifying me that we have a problem with your purchase. We will find a mutually agreeable solution.

DO YOU ACCEPT CUSTOM ORDERS?
Yes, I welcome custom orders. Please contact me with the details of your request and I will do my best to accommodate it.

CAN I GET A RESERVED LISTING?
I reserve items upon request. Reserved items must be purchased within 7 days unless an alternate arrangement has been made.

I HAVE A QUESTION...
I check my mail several times daily and strive to respond to all questions quickly.

I SEE SOMETHING THAT I LIKE, BUT I NEED IT IN A SPECIFIC SIZE/STYLE:
I do my best to accommodate special requests such as different chain lengths or different ear-wires.

I LOVE THESE EARRINGS, BUT I NEED DIFFERENT EAR WIRES. CAN YOU CHANGE THEM FOR ME?
I can change ear wires upon request to a different style such as lever-backed or a different metal such as substituting Sterling Silver ear wires. PLEASE NOTE: there will be an additional $3.00 fee for changing to Sterling Silver. Please make arrangements for special requests before purchasing the item.
