I'm thrilled with my custom-made evening bag. I requested rose gold handles to match a wedding outfit and I love the result. The bag is beautifully made and excellent value for the price. Thank you Madame Clochette :)

Just finished this labour of love... in store soon!
Hard at work cutting tags for a custom order. Time consuming but very satisfying!

About

Happiness is a new Handbag

I started selling handmade beads during lunch time at high school, 20 years. Beads were $1.50, the leather to go with them $1. I made small bags with my logo (clip art from the computer and my brand name: Cupid Beads) stuck on. They were self sealing because I didn't want to take extra stuff to school. I can't remember how long it lasted, but I do remember working out that I broke even.
That should've been a clue that I was on the right track :)

I love making just about anything... if I can make instead of buy, well that's a challenge I accept :) I love working with fabric, paper, paint, Fimo, craft wood and whatever lovely things I can find in the recycling bin.

I started making bags because I couldn't find what I was looking for and it just took off from there. The book covers came about while I was working in a book store. Now, there are hundreds of things I'd like to offer in my store, so stay tuned!

Come and say hello on Facebook, stop by my blog http://www.madameclochette.blogspot.com for tales of bag making, random crafts, the triumphs and the failure!
