Announcement    To those who have encouraged and loved my shop a great big THANK YOU ~ MERCI' MON AMI ~ I am thrilled to share charming jewels, gifts, and french influenced treasures with you and how my fascination with french wares started. A few years ago my oldest daughter decided to study in London for her Master's in theater which allowed me to travel abroad twice that year. The second time my girlfriend and I took a quick trip to Paris and determined in that one day to cram all we could into it. We bravely found our way early in the morning to a flea market on the edge of town. We looked for easy to pack items because our suitcases were full from all the yummy things we bought in England. We finally made it their and bought antique french postcards, laces, doilies, buttons, and the tourist must have a mini Eiffel tower.
All of these lovelies found their way into my many art projects back home. The front of a memory journal , 40 mini journals, graced with the french riviera postcard for the women's retreat, enlarged as wall hangings I couldn't keep them in stock, glittered with the added buttons and laces from Paris, it was truly inspiring. I still use these bits of whimsy in my art for sale today and coming soon to Madamoiselles new shop. "La Joie de vie" as the French would say "the Joy of Living!" It is no wonder that I dream of going back, maybe next year, to fill my hearts desire in one of Paris's antique markets. Amour, Madamoiselle Delvina, (Ms Debbie')
