    Owner

Robin Gilmore’s Made in Bridgeport jewelry collection is creative and innovative, as she transforms everyday found objects into beautiful wearable works of art. Her imaginative work is developed from recycled, repurposed, and broken parts and pieces from objects found on the street, at thrift stores, salvaged hardware shops, vintage jewelry donations and from years of collecting things that are meaningful and unusual. Robin’s creative designs are often complimented as true statement pieces and are intriguing and fun to wear. Many of the pieces she creates are real works of art, amulets that become “Modern Myths”, storytelling that is humorous, sentimental and insightful. Made in Bridgeport is Robin’s way of melding her vision and the roots of her art making with her history and the city of Bridgeport Connecticut’s Industrial Evolution. She currently runs workshops in found art and jewelry making, assemblage and weekend workshops in creating altars and shrines. Her work is for sale at many up and coming art shows and festivals. Look for announcements and locations near you. Also featured on this eetsy shop areher creations Assemblage Storytelling Art Pieces.

Shop policies

Last updated on October 7, 2014
Welcome to Made In Bridgeport a place where Industry makes art. I am always adding new items to the store, so when you first look, if you don't see something you adore one day, just keep checking back frequently. I also always have other creations in my inventory that I just haven't listed yet, so feel free to message me if there is something special you are looking for.

I am extremely committed to selling my creative one of a kind works of art and wearable art items (no reproductions here!) and having satisfied customers. If you decide to do me the honor of purchasing one of my pieces, I will work with you to make sure everything goes smoothly and that you are thoroughly satisfied. I have excellent feedback, so please, buy with confidence and feel free to ask any questions.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
  • Check
Payment
Paypal and Direct Checkout with a card are my two preferred methods of payment, but if you really need to do check* or money order, that can be arranged.

*If you would like to pay by personal check, keep in mind that getting your locket might take some time, as I will not ship it until your check has successfully been deposited into my bank account, so I know the check will not bounce.

Trades/Barters with other Etsy shop owners: I do accept trades for things from other shops sometimes, and I like to keep it all kosher and go through Etsy. Please feel free to message me if you would like to discuss an offer.
Shipping
Currently I ship within the United States, ONLY. However, if you live somewhere other than where I have listed, and just HAVE to have one of my creations, please message me and I'll see what I can do.

I ship items First Class Mail through the United States Post Office. This keeps the costs down for everyone. I do not provide insurance on my items, but I do include delivery confirmation (U.S. customers only) for myself so that I know you received your package. (This I will count as proof if a customer claims they did not receive their purchase).

For U.S. Customers: First Class Mail usually arrives within 4-6 days from the date of shipment, but if you want insurance or rush delivery, send me a message and I'll try to work it out, and let you know any extra costs involved. Please also do not blame me for late mail, as I ship quickly, but I simply cannot help the post office's tardiness.

2-3 Day Priority shipping costs $6.10, and 1 day rush delivery costs $18.95. These are the U.S. Post Office's shipping prices, and I make absolutely no profit off of what I charge for shipping. *****If you need rushed delivery, please message me BEFORE you check out, as I will need to change the shipping cost of the item and reserve it for you.

SHIPPING FREQUENCY: I ship withinn 1-3 days but mostly next day and I send it out to you.

***PLEASE PLEASE check to make sure that the mailing address you give me is correct. I cannot be responsible for something that is lost in the mail if the wrong address was given to me.
Refunds and Exchanges
My priority is your satisfaction, and if you are not 100% happy with your purchase, before leaving negative feedback, please contact me within 10 days of purchase so we can work something out. I accept returns or exchanges gladly. If you end up sending work(s) back for a return, I will refund the entire total you paid at checkout for the item minus the shipping cost. Please let me know what I can do to make you happy, as I would MUCH rather lose a few dollars and have a happy customer than the opposite.
