The majority of my hats are made to order and will currently take approximately 4 weeks to create. This means your hat is made just for you and in top condition.

However, if your requirements are more urgent please contact me in the first instance, it may be possible to accommodate a 'rush order'.

There is a non-refundable* fee for rush orders in addition to the item cost, this upgrade is to cover extra hours and expenses involved in reducing the turnaround time from 4 weeks to 1 - 2 weeks.

For orders required between:
7 - 14 days = 25% fee


*This fee is non-refundable as it covers overtime & costs associated with acquiring stock etc.

Bespoke designs may take longer.

For accurate measuring, take a tape measure around the widest part of your head; from the forehead around the widest part of your head and back to meet the forehead. Don't pull too tight on the tape or your hat will be too tight.

Measurement equivelants in inches and cm:

21" | 53-54cm
21.5" | 54-55cm
22" | 56cm
22.5" | 57-58cm
23" | 58-59cm
23.5" | 60cm
24" | 61cm

Need a larger size, just let me know.

Felt hats:
Use a clean soft brush, such as a soft shoe brush to occasionally remove dust and refresh the fibres on the hat, however only apply light pressure. For felts with a pattern using a lint roller to remove dust.

Straw hats:
It is important not to get your straw hat wet, as it will lose its shape. Please also store in a dry place but out of direct heat, as this will make the straw brittle over time.

All designs are presented in a sturdy hatbox. Every box is then posted in a postal box. My boxes are designed to fit the hat boxes so an additional filler is not required.

Your invoice will be enclosed, if you require a gift receipt, please let me know.

Please note that colours may vary due to screen resolution or suppliers fabric batches. This is not classed as faulty or a defect, swatches may be requested in advance if matching is vital to your overall look.

I do offer a bespoke dye service, this is only available for the hats I make and sell and not for any other items.

Returns are only accepted on ready-to-wear pieces. The majority of my designs are made to order; made to customer specifications. I regret that I am unable to offer refunds or exchanges on products that are bespoke, made-to-order, or customised.

I am always happy to advise customers regarding style suitability, colour matching and measuring prior to placing an order. If for any reason the product does not meet your expectations, you can return for alteration, provided a return is requested within 14 days of receipt and items are returned within 14 days of receipt.

All returns must be in an unworn, unmarked, as new condition and complete with their original tags in place as received.

Gift Cards are non-returnable.

All images and communicated feedback regarding purchased goods may be used at the discretion of Maggie Mowbray Millinery across all marketing or selling venues.

All items are dispatched, within the UK, by Royal Mail Special Delivery or DPD. This is generally a next day service, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

International destinations will be sent by International Signed For or equivalent. This takes an estimated 5 - 6 working days, however can take up to 30 working days. This is a complimentary service.

For faster delivery, courier upgrades are available at the checkout.

Your hat or headpiece is insured against loss or damage in transit and must be signed for on receipt, therefore cannot be sent to PO Box or Mail Receiving Centre addresses.

I cannot guarantee the actual delivery dates and times. I will send you an email letting you know when your product is shipped.
