About

Why I Love Microgreens - and you will, too!

Microgreens are baby versions of full-grown vegetables, grains and herbs - but they contain as much flavor and even more nutrition, plus, they're easy and quick to grow in even the smallest space.

I've always gardened everywhere I go, but I found special challenges at 7,000 feet in the high mountain desert of New Mexico. Yes, we have plenty of sunshine, but also howling winds, extreme drought, spectacular temperature swings, and a short growing season ... good grief!

So I was thrilled to discover that growing your own microgreens is the easiest way ever to enjoy tasty, fresh organic greens year round. And what could be more local than your own windowsill or kitchen counter?

Anyone - seriously, anyone - can grow microgreens. They will flourish in sunshine or artificial light, they don't need fertilizer or special "kid glove" treatment, and they're ready to harvest in as little as a week.

I opened my "Maggie's Microgreens" shop to share my love of microgreens with you.

~ I source and personally test-grow every seed type I offer, using only certified organic non-GMO seeds grown specifically for microgreens.

~ I assemble my DIY microgreens kits using my own specially-blended organic soil mix.

~ I re-purpose vintage and modern china pieces for a unique countertop garden.

~ I send clear, complete growing instructions with every purchase, and I am happy to answer any questions you might have, and offer advice for a great harvest.

I hope my organic microgreens will open a new "garden path" for you as they have for me!

Welcome to Maggie's Microgreens! I love growing fresh organic greens year-round, and I know you will too. Microgreens are baby versions of full-grown vegetables, grains and herbs - but they contain as much flavor and even more nutrition, plus, they're easy and quick to grow in even the smallest space.

I hope my organic microgreens will open a new "garden path" for you as they have for me!

Do stop by my original Etsy shop, kNotes for kNitters, at http://www.etsy.com/shop/kNotesforkNitters. There you'll find my original art collaged paper goods for knitters.

My other shop, Happy Hands hand cream for knitters and crafters, is here:

https://www.etsy.com/shop/happyhandsstore

I hand-blend my Happy Hands paraben-free shea butter hand cream for a deeply moisturizing but non-greasy cream that will *not* transfer to your fiber handiwork!

Remember, to save you money, I am happy to combine shipping on items you purchase from any of my stores!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept payment via PayPal, or direct credit card, both options available through Etsy's checkout system. If you're a fellow resident of the great state of New Mexico - howdy neighbor! - I am required to collect sales tax on your purchase.
Shipping
I package and ship your order as quickly as possible, normally within 1 to 3 days, via the most economical shipping method available, with delivery confirmation tracking. I can ship my organic seeds and microgreens DIY kits to the USA and to Canada.

I regret that I cannot ship to other International destinations, due to the laws of other countries governing importation of agricultural products.

If you live outside the USA and Canada, I encourage you to seek out a local source for organic seeds so that you can enjoy your own mini microgreens garden, too!
Refunds and Exchanges
My DIY microgreens kits include delicate pieces of vintage or unique china, often one-of-a-kind, so I package them with great care.

Should the postal service manage to break your china piece, do let me know right away. If possible I will replace your piece; if I do not have a matching piece, you can choose another from my shop, or I will refund your purchase price, whichever you prefer.
Additional policies and FAQs
I appreciate your interest in growing microgreens, and I'm eager to answer any questions you may have, or offer advice for a great harvest. Just drop me a line!
