Creating OOAK Fine Art Collectibles

San Antonio, Texas

Announcement    Thank you for dropping by my Etsy shop!

All kindred spirits are welcome here. Take my hand, and I’ll lead you through a mythically and magical world. Fairies, mermaids, and like characters are part of your dream here. A little tickle to your fancy and you’ll be wanting to stay awhile.

Many people think that my doll faces are porcelain…they are not! I hand dye Pima cotton with Japanese green tea’s and stitch with silk threads, stuffed with poly-cotton fiber filled and color with German pressed chalks. Their eyes are embroidered cotton floss. Most of their bodies are articulated. Their hair can be mohair, straw, hand-dyed yarn, Lama wool and on a good day, my dear dog MoePossum will donate his beautiful fur after a good brushing.

Because I never know where my needle will take my fingers I cannot do replicas. My work is one of a kind which for me makes each piece I create “SPECIAL.” I am blessed with creating my art for the last thirty plus years and love what I do! While I work I hear this voice saying, “Make your stitches smaller” and therefore each piece takes hours and hours to create, to be born… Each wearing gently worn altered vintage cloth, laces, linen, velvets, tatting, knitting, embroidery, crochet adorn their handstitched bodies. They carry with them secrets, stories of love, of sorrow, of joy…stories they are ready to share…you only need to listen.

I am honored that you have found and visited my little Etsy shop. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or special requests. I send you love and peace from my heart.
