Announcement   Welcome to my home at Magic Threadsand Things! My name is Julie McCullough and I've been a textile artists for over 30 years. I've been a spinner, weaver, dragon lady, dollmaker, maskmaker, pattern designer, writer and teacher and now a found object artist. One thing leads logically, or illogically to another. I have yet to run out of ideas! I've been in books, magazines, TV shows. galleries and international doll exhibits.

Here you will find some of the cloth dolls, animals and patterns that I design and my assemblage art. My work is colorful, silly, whimsical and totally nonsensical at times. My pattern line is well known for my clearly written directions and variety of whimsical styles.

I am inspired primarily by interesting things, fabric, theatre, travel, fantasy and the woods I see from my studio. I work with many types of fabrics to interpret the ideas I see floating around in my head. My favorite place for inspiration is New York City!!! .

I hope you enjoy my work and come back often. Enjoy the Magic! You can also check out my web site for class and show schedules www.magicthreads.com

Absolutely beautiful, as are all of your dolls. They are the neatest things I have ever seen and I am so so so envious of your skills!
