This is a sweet Congo Smoky Citrine that feels warm and supportive. The copper wrapping is amazing! And fast shipping too. Thanks!

About

Wrap Culture

Aside from making jewelry, I create visual art as well. I obtained a BFA in sculpting from the University of North Florida. My focus was on creating three dimensional forms of art that utilized found objects, and very little bought materials. I made a lot of assemblages and even got to cast a baby doll's head in iron (a very empowering experience I might add). After graduating, I realized that my resources and space dwindled way down! I couldn't make large pieces, or have access to power tools like I had been doing for so long. I needed a way to satisfy those urges, and that's where wire-wrapping came into play.

There is something so satisfying about creating a tiny little masterpiece out of wire, and knowing that someone will come along, wear it, and become completely involved in something that I created from scratch.

I have an extreme fascination with all things weird, creepy, spooky and strange. I love cutting up dolls (victims) and turning them in a jewelry creation. I've definitely been told a few times that I'm just like the bad kid on Toy Story. I suppose I owe it all to Sid!

My approach to jewelry making is an organic one. I start with a stone, doll part, or some object and let that guide me to the next step. I'm not a planner when it comes to art. I just sit down and get started. This approach has worked for me so far.
