For the Love and Beauty of Glass

My interest in lampwork beads actaully started with doing stained glass. I have always loved the look of stained glass and how captivating it was. I spent a few years making small stained glass pieces and panels. From there I began creating stained glass windchimes all strung with pieces of glass and beads. While shopping for different kinds of beads, I started noticing all the artistic beads created by individual lampwork artists and realized what little pieces of art they were. They were very different than the mass produced beads. The more I kept looking at them the more I wanted to try my hand at it.

I took my first introductory class in July 2003 and I was hooked! My husband helped me get set up in a little room to use as my 'studio' and from there things evolved. There's always new things to learn and try, with quite an array of techniques, glass, products and tools to work with. It is never ending what you can do and learn.

I find I love a lot of different styles and like to try and learn new techniques to develop my styles of beads. I tend to like organic nature and earth, flowers, paisley, vintage styles, ornate styles and eclectic styles.

Besides the glass beadmaking, I have worked part time in a hair salon for the past 30+ years.

Welcome to my world of lampwork beads.

My lampwork beads are all handmade by me in the flame of a gas and oxy torch. They are then properly annealed in a kiln for added strength and durability. Beads are cleaned and ready for your jewelry designs. Most beads are made and ready to ship with the exception of the 'made to order' items.

Made to Order Items:
* Occasionally I will offer select beads as Made to Order and are beads I can usually reproduce with no problems and have similar results each time. For Made to Order beads allow 7-14 days time for beads to be made plus shipping time. Beads will be a similar set to the ones shown. I will convo photos of them to you for approval before shipping. I will do my best to get them made as soon as possible. My bead making days are usually either Sun, Mon, Tues and an occasional Thursday, all other days of the week I work another job. So depending on the day of the week your order is placed will determine how quickly I can get to them.

~ At this time I have No 'made to order' beads listed.

** If your purchase contains both Made to Order Items, Jewelry that needs re-sizing and Ready to Ship items, the whole order will be shipped upon completion of the Made to Order items or completion of the re-sizing of jewelry in order to receive the combined shipping. - If you do not want to wait upon completion of the Made to Order items or jewelry re-sizing and would like your Ready to Ship beads/items mailed within the 1-2 business days stated, then place your Made to Order items or Re-sizable Jewelry items as a completely separate order.

For re-sizing of jewelry items (specifically bracelets), the listing for the items will state whether the item is available to be resized. Usually adding a few extra beads or links to the ends to lengthen will work on some styles, without having to take apart the whole bracelet or redesign and change the whole bracelet. So please send me a convo first before purchasing to discuss any resizing.

*** I am not taking any custom orders for remakes of other beads, so if you see something you like you may want to get it while it is available. Many of the beads created with the Double Helix Silver glasses, certain organic style beads, or remembering the exact glass and different layering of it all are too hard to reproduce and get the same results when trying to reproduce the same beads many months down the road after making the originals.

SRA Artists
**** If you are new to buying lampwork beads, SRA = stands for Self Representing Artist. You will find it in listings of beads handcrafted by glass artists who represent their own work. That way you know you are buying a unique handcrafted lampwork bead that is not mass produced by someone other than the artist.
