Story Behind The Vision
Als ich beobachtete, wie Unternehmen wie meines von den wirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen von COVID-19 gebeutelt wurden, wusste ich, dass ich einen kreativen Weg finden musste, um nicht nur meine 60 herausragenden Mitarbeiter zu halten, sondern auch anderen zu helfen, die darum kämpfen, über Wasser zu bleiben.
Was als humorvolle Abwandlung des Slogans "Make America Great Again" des Präsidenten begann, führte zu einem von Oprah inspirierten "Aha"-Moment. In einer Nacht in Quarantäne fragte ich mich, was ich tun könnte, um die Amerikaner zu ermutigen, zu einer neuen Normalität zurückzukehren. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt beschloss ich, die Bewegung "Make America Intimate Again" ins Leben zu rufen, weil ich glaube, dass es im Leben darum geht, sich mit anderen durch intime Momente der Empathie und des Mitgefühls zu verbinden.
Seit Jahren lautet mein Motto "Wir alle hinterlassen einen Fußabdruck, und es ist wichtig", also werde ich, um meinen Segen vorwärts zu bringen, 20% aller Verkäufe an philanthropische 501 (c) (3) -Organisationen spenden, die von COVID-19 betroffenen Personen helfen, mit dem ultimativen Ziel, über 5 Millionen Dollar zu spenden. Auch wenn die Dinge anders sind, tragen Sie bitte Ihren Teil dazu bei, dass alles um Sie herum positiv bleibt. Ich wünsche Ihnen ein Leben voller Erfahrungen mit Intimität, Mitgefühl und Emotionen, den drei wesentlichen Komponenten, die wir brauchen, um ein wirklich gesundes Leben zu führen ... der amerikanische Weg.
As I watched businesses like mine get battered by the economic effects of COVID-19, I knew I had to come up with a creative way to not only retain my 60 outstanding employees, but to aid others struggling to stay afloat.
What started as a humorous twist on the President’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, led to an Oprah inspired “ah-ha” moment. One quarantined night, I asked myself what I could do to encourage Americans to return to a new normal. That’s when I decided to launch the “Make America Intimate Again” movement, because I believe that life is about connecting with others through intimate moments of empathy and compassion.
For years, my motto has been “We all leave a footprint, and it matters,” so to pay my blessings forward, I will donate 20% of all sales to philanthropic 501(c)(3) organizations that are helping individuals impacted by COVID-19, with an ultimate goal of donating over 5 million dollars. Will you help me reach this lofty goal?
America, please stay safe and healthy. Elevate your hygiene habits, and as soon as it’s ok, don’t be afraid to hug, hold hands, high-five, or rest your hand on the shoulder of someone who needs that moment with you.
Even though things are different, please do your part to make sure that everything around you remains positive. I wish you a life full of experiences with intimacy, compassion, and emotion, the three essential components we need to maintain a truly healthy life…the American way.
