Mum & Daughter Joint Shop Venture for baby & child items
Make Stitch Knit started after Abbies (Daughter) life changed dramactically in 2012 & Jacqui (Mum) became a Carer & housewife. We have always been close & the best of friends so having Make Stitch Knit together is so much fun. We have loved every moment of it so far and it is ideal as Abbie can make for how ever many hours she can manage & Jacqui can fit her knitting around being a Mum / Wife (and Carer).

We aim to sell our items at reasonable prices as times are hard in this day & age, plus also some special items in special materials.

I don't have a PayPal account, can I still buy from your shop?
You can pay with PayPal even if you are not a registered PayPal user. Once you checked out on Etsy, and submitted your order, click the "Pay now" button. On the bottom of the PayPal page you will see the option to pay with a credit card without having to register.
Can I upgrade my shipping to Tracked Airmail?
UK 1st class Signed for & International Tracked Airmail are available for an additional fee at the checkout (these services provide a slightly faster delivery service).
Your postal service will require a signature on delivery so please provide a suitable address.
Custom and personalised orders
We can do custom orders for you & also personalised order on some items.
Please contact us with your request & we can go from there. The earlier you contact us the better.
Lead times & postal times will vary depending on your order. We do a 1st come 1st served basis with custom orders, so the quicker we can process your custom order request & recieve payment via Paypal we can book you in the diary, order in any wool or materials & start your order ASAP!
Most of the shop items are "in stock" but are available to be custom made.
Please note; Custom Orders are non-returnable.
Why can I not buy a Toy if I live in the UK or EU?
Although our toys are well made, stuffed with hollow fibre stuffing which complies with Furniture and Furnishings (fire safety) Regulations 1988 BS5852, made from yarn from major manufacturers & felt that is Premium Wool Blend Felt, it has 40% wool and is soft yet strong we can only sell them to Countries outside of the EU. This is due to our toys not yet having the CE Marking (Conformité Européenne, meaning "European Conformity") required for toys to by sold in all Countries of the EU.
Can you post my order direct to the recipient?
We can post your purchase direct, just leave us a note with your message. All items are automatically gift wrapped.
We do not include invoices.
Please ensure you provide us with the name & full address of the gift receiver.
How & When can I get a refund?
Refunds for your purchase are issued via Paypal once the item is shipped back to me in the original, unused and unworn condition.
If any items have been exposed to smoke or pets, they will NOT be returnable.
CUSTOM ORDERS are non-returnable.
The cost of your item(s) will only be refunded if you change your mind, not the original postage cost or return postage fees. We can not refund the postage to yourself or for the return.
A full refund (including postage fees) will only be given if your item(s) are faulty.

EU regulations; the return window is 14 days after receipt of the goods. The cancellation period will start the moment a customer receives a product, rather than at the time he or she purchases it.

We will ship your purchase within 2 working days of receiving payment & offer 1st class delivery within the UK and worldwide delivery via Airmail.
Royal Mail estimate delivery in approx. 3-5 working days for the UK & International Airmail 7-14 working days (but can be up to 21 working days)
STANDARD 1ST CLASS MAIL & AIRMAIL ARE NOT TRACKABLE

Once we have posted your parcel & sent you a dispatch email we cannot be held responsible for any delays; Custom delays, Postal /Airport strikes, bad weather, increased post volume (i.e holiday times)

What happens if my order is lost in the mail / post
We are afraid that Items/parcels that are lost in the postal system cannot be refunded or re made. We always obtain proof of posting receipts and if an item does not arrive we will put in a compensation claim with Royal Mail. This cannot be done until 21 working days after the item has been posted. As soon as we have received any compensation we will refund this to the customer.
