What an adorable mochila!! I love the little quail and the trees! I'm in awe of the workmanship and study it as I may, I still cannot figure out how the artist does what she does!! The quail and the trees in the design... So intricate! This mochila is perfect for keeping my wallet and cell and a few essentials. Love it!! I am such a lucky girl!!!

This bag is as unique as it is gorgeous! I absolutely love the design and the craftsmanship is masterful. This bag is the perfect size to use as my everyday purse, as it fits all of the things I need to keep with me. I feel very fashion forward carrying this mochila! I guess I can admit I have an addiction to the Mama Mochila made mochilas! A gorgeous bag delivered super fast. 500 stars!

About

Mama Mochila features authentic, traditionally crafted bags that are created and offered with love, dignity and respect.

We are a craft collective founded by Arhuaco artisans Cecilia Villafane and Yolima Torres alongside our US based liason and co-founder Anna Gouznova. Together, we work with a close-knit Arhuaco community settled in Colombia's coastal mountain range, accessible only by foot or on horseback. Our mission is to support indigenous Arhuaco women as they navigate the global market and preserve their craft’s tradition.

Mochila making is a generational craft, passed down through mothers and grandmothers. Mochilas are considered a woman’s expression of intention and love for her family, community and Mother Nature.
