A Gfree Mama

I began making Gfree food back when "Gluten Free" wasn't common to most people like it is today.

My husband was diagnosed with Celiac Disease (an auto immune disease, not allergy) back in 2005, so a Gfree lifestyle has been a part of our family for over 10 years now. I thoroughly enjoyed making desserts & my Gluten Free Cake Balls became a hit with friends and family. I was finally talked into selling them & boy, what a response! I had a Groupon in Manhattan, New York early on & underestimated my sales potential. We sold over 900 dozen in 48 hours! What!?

Long story short, my recipe became quite successful & I had to decide if I was going to go to the next level or hold off....it was a tough decision since after 3 years of building this business I decided to close shop.

I have a little boy who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 7 months old (also an auto immune disease) and his care was 24/7. I just wasn't able to devote my time to the Gfree world anymore :-( I started another business on the side about a year ago making arts & crafts: www.JakeAustinCollection.etsy.com to fulfill my creative energy!

After many requests by former clients, family & friends, I've decided to open up Mamas Gluten Free Cake Balls for a short period of time to fulfill Valentine's Day orders. Between now and 2/09 you can place an order to be shipped to you or your loved one!
