About

Manger son Chapeau - Fine French Millinery Supplies

Finding Unique and Quality Supplies to work with in the Millinery Industry is becoming more and more scarce. As a very quality conscious milliner myself working in many different areas of the headwear industry I know/realize how hard it can be to have access to the supplies needed to make a well made hat. I became very determined to research and source Quality Millinery supplies to be able to have them in one on-line shop available to those who will appreciate working with them.

So, In September of 2014 I started this shop on-line in hopes that I can hopefully bridge that gap and make materials more accessible. Manger son Chapeau (meaning Eat your hat in English) is that on-line Millinery Supply recourse center/store.

I encourage you to ask questions about anything that interests you in the Shop, Especially about how to work with any of the supplies that are listed. I really would love that these supplies to be used to their fullest potential.

I am always on the hunt for more unique and quality Items to add to the Shop to make available, I try Update and diversify the shop regularly.

If there is anything particular that you are looking for, Please dont be shy, and send me a message to let me know. Just because it is not listed does not mean that i might not have it.

A little about me.........

My Education in the Hat Industry started at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC where I got a certificate in millinery along with a degree in womenswear. Later I also went to Central Saint Martins in London and received a certificate in Hat block design.

While living/working in NYC I had a few small stores in both Manhattans Lower East Side as well as having a store in Williamsburg Brooklyn.

I created 2 seasonal collections a year and designed for both Men and Women alike. I made all hats in house and sourced my materials in both the US and Europe to use. My Hats sold at Barney's, Henri Bendel's, Harvey Nichols, Intermix, Opening Ceremony, Isetan and many many others. As well as doing collaborative work with designers for their labels/shows. Including Thom Browne, Opening Ceremony, Diesel, Barbie, Tim Hamilton, Trovata, Rebeca Minkoff and many others for both runway pieces as well as managed samples and production of their hats.

I was also the Designer and head of new product development for the label "Bailey of Hollywood" which is a great American design/made Mens headwear label. They are one of the few Great original factory equipped labels/manufactures left. where they have the manufacturing abilities to make a hat from scratch from the felt/straw to the finished hat on your head.

Now In France, I continue to work for Myself designing custom and made to measure hats as well as consulting and designing for other designers and labels.

Any questions about my work as well I would be more than happy to tell you more.
