He kept examining it and said it had a great weight, balance, and feel. Even I loved the blade and it wasn't even for me! What is LIGHTSTORM ™ Engraving?
LIGHTSTORM ™ Is an ancient, secret engraving technique taught to us by Grey Elves in Menegroth. Um. Or we learned it during our apprenticeship in Riverside, Rhode Island. The Voices... they confuse me...
Anyway, LIGHTSTORM ™ is a deep engraving tecnique that looks amazing. Metal is carved away, creating a contrast between smooth, polished surfaces and textured, darker areas. Your fingers will feel the layers of metal, your eyes will drink deep from the .... from the... Damn. I was in groove there and now I've lost the thread.
Suffice to say, LIGHTSTORM ™ Engraving is completely unique-- no one except Mantra Immortal is offering this sort of service. We guarantee that whoever recieves a gift engraved in this way will be blown away.
Do you provide mockups before you engrave?
We don't typically do mockups as they tend to wreak havoc on our production timelines (customers sometimes don't reply right away (or at all), and we go back and forth on changes, etc.). We do offer a mockup service for $30, but most customers are usually very happy with the designs we create. By not doing mockups, we reduce production time and keep prices lower.

If you don't want to buy a mockup, you can send a sketch or other illustration and we'll engrave as close to the sketch as we can. You can also write details of how you want the engraving and we can follow your instructions.
Can I see what my text will look like in your fonts?
Yes! The best way is to go to a font website that allows you to "test drive" a font. You can find most of our fonts on this one: https://www.dafont.com/. But there are many others out there! Some of our fonts have slightly different names on our site than on others, so if you have trouble finding it, let us know and we'll steer you to the right place =)
Do You Make Your Own Products?
We make some of our products, but our expertise is in customization. We offer engraving styles that no one else does, and try to create variations that make your gift tr(e)uly unique. Sometimes we work with manufacturing partners to offer the best canvas possible for our skills.
Can you Make Me a Completely Custom Sword?
Sadly, we don't do completely custom items. We offer a base product and allow our customers to modify that product using our unique engraving styles and other variations.
Why do you spell the word "true" like this: "Treu"
Here at Mantra Immortal, we firmly believe that the word "true" and its forms ("Truly, etc.) look better as "Treu" (and Treuly, etc.). So, we're starting a movement to change it. You can help by always typing treu instead of true. It's a journey, but we're committed!
Do you ship internationally?
We do, although we can't guarantee shipping times. Carriers have been a little unreliable internationally these days. Sometimes they arrive early or on time. Usually they arrive a little late. Sometimes they arrive really late. We don't have much control over the shipment once it leaves our shop.
IMPORTANT: IF A PERSONALIZED ITEM IS REFUSED BY CUSTOMS IN YOUR COUNTRY AND SENT BACK, WE CANNOT OFFER A REFUND. Once an item is personalized, we can't do much with it. (We're looking into saving them for a few years and selling them in bulk to some third-world country waging medieval war on their crops or something). So, please check with your country's customs regulations. Thanks.
Also, please note that we don't ship samurai swords to the UK.
Custom and personalized orders
We find that the best way to use LIGHTSTORM is by placing your most important words (Up to 6 or 7 words works best) in the LIGHTSTORM frame of your choice (frames 1-5 work best). Then, you can add text either above or below the frame in standard engraving. If it's a sword, you can add words above *and* below the frame, if you want. Have a look at some of our LIGHTSTORM sample images to get the idea.
