Drew is such a nice guy...very personable and just a plain good man. I asked for one of his stunning charcuterie boards but made just slightly bigger than the one he already had in stock. He was happily up for the challenge and was just so easy to work with. Today I opened up my box from Drew and the board he made me is absolutely gorgeous! It’s very classy looking...and the design and stain he used is so complimentary to the wood. Sooo happy with my purchase! Outstanding job, Drew! Thanks so much! 😊

Such a beautiful cutting board! Very well made and quick delivery. Top notch seller!
From his Papaw’s workshop in rural Tennessee, Drew Mapleswright began to see the value of working with your hands and honoring the beauty of natural wood through quality craftsmanship. It wasn’t until starting a family of his own that Drew began to try his hand at his own woodworking adventure. What was thought to be just a hobby quickly turned into a stout passion and became what is known now as Maplegrove Woodcraft. Now, following in his Papaw’s footsteps, Drew has built his own workshop in hopes that the value of hard work and creativity will be passed on throughout generations to come.
Our last name, Mapleswright, comes from the combination of Drew’s mother’s maiden name, Maples, and his adoptive father’s last name, Wright. It just so happens that the last name Mapleswright roughly means “Woodworker”; Maple referring to the type of wood and Wright being an occupational surname common in Britain. Though we do not only work with Maple, it seems to be in our nature to work with wood.
At Maplegrove we believe there is no substitute for working with our own hands and our own eyes. With that, we handpick each and every board that passes through our shop - carefully vetting its quality, figure, and stability. Our creations are personal and a result of meticulous care and concern for quality over quantity. We honor the beauty of natural wood by accentuating its natural color by exclusively using oil finishes.
