A NOTE ON USPS TRACKING, PLEASE READ BEFORE MESSAGING US:

1. Double check your address now to make sure it is correct, especially if auto-filled. Once it ships, it is too late.
2. We ship the SAME DAY your label is printed, no need to message us about PRE-TRANSIT issues, as your item is already in transit.
3. Your item may show PRE-TRANSIT for days or even over a week before updating. This is normal, as our local USPS doesn't scan all items as they should during peak holiday season. It's been the same way for the past 5 years, and all packages end up getting delivered. It doesn't mean your item is sitting in one place, but it is en route, and will arrive regardless of whether or not it updates on the tracker. It may even jump from Pre-Transit to Out for Delivery without any updates in between, so keep an eye on it regularly.
4. Priority shipping is not guaranteed by USPS, and especially this year, there may be delays even with Priority. We do not guarantee delivery by a certain date, as neither we nor USPS can speed this up, so please wait patiently.
5. We will resolve any lost packages after Jan 2, 2021, to allow enough time for USPS to sift through all of their holiday deliveries. If you item is not delivered by then, message us and we will file a claim for you, and you will be refunded if it doesn't show delivered. Don't worry.
6. We are not responsible for stolen packages. Once it shows delivered, and you don't receive it, you will need to file a claim with your credit card or insurance, as most will cover lost or stolen items. 30 percent of Americans have had a package stolen from outside their home. If you don't have a mailbox, you can prevent stolen packages by having someone available on delivery day or shipped to your office rather than left on the front porch.
7. To alleviate those common issues this holiday season, we are also using Amazon fulfillment for many orders, so your item may arrive in an Amazon package as it gets closer to Christmas.

Remember to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for more inspiration, and feel free to send us photos and stories!

Thanks again & Happy Holidays!

Frequently asked questions

Are you based in the US?

Yes, we are based in the live music capital of the world — Austin, Texas! Being centrally located, your shipping time should be faster than most shops based outside of the US, or in farther reaches of the US.

During holiday or travel season, we also use Amazon fulfillment to deliver most packages. Since Amazon warehouses are located all over the US, your package will arrive sooner from a warehouse near you. You may therefore receive a tracking number either through Etsy or Amazon. In years past, we've seen USPS packages stall for weeks on end for some customers, and this will alleviate most of those delays!

Do you design your own prints and can they be found anywhere else?

Yes, we design all of our own prints, and you will only be able to find them at our shop here on Etsy, through Amazon, on our own website, and select retailers, including National Park gift shops. We are the original creators of the National Parks scratch off travel maps. Any other channels are unauthorized.

Where can I find you on social media?

Follow our Instagram & Facebook community of over 21,000+ adventurers for National Park inspiration, National Park pass and product giveaways, & to share your adventures!

Last year, along with our partners, we gave away trips to National Parks like Zion, Big Bend & Acadia!

Can I request a custom map or print?

Though we cannot make one-off custom maps or prints, since each design takes us weeks or even months to research & develop, we love your suggestions. The more suggestions we have for a particular map or print, the more likely it will be made. So feel free to send us your suggestions!

Do you accept returns?

We do not accept returns due to the nature of the scratch off maps arriving back damaged. No matter how careful a customer is, 90% of the maps we received back in the past were not resellable due to inadvertent scratches, creases, or careless rolling. As a result, we are not able to resell them. If you have any issues with your order, please contact us. You will be responsible for shipping charges both ways for exchanges.

If a new park is added, unfortunately we cannot accept exchanges and do not carry stickers for new parks. We can't control when parks are designated, so we hope you understand.

Wholesale availability

If you are interested in carrying our products in your retail shop, please contact us. We love working with National Park gift shops, outdoor & adventure gift shops, gift boutiques, etc.

What shipping method should I select?

Normally, First Class (Standard shipping) takes 3-5 business days, and Priority takes 2-3 business days, after your item is shipped. However, during the holiday season, there will be inevitable delays due to high volume that are out of our control. We're at the mercy of USPS, so basically select Priority if you want it faster than First Class.

The only USPS-guaranteed product is Priority Express. Though a lot more expensive, select this only if you need your item next day.

When the USPS tracker says "Pre-Shipment", does this mean you haven't shipped my item or dropped it off at the post office yet?

We ship out the same day your postage label is printed, but it may still show "Pre Shipment", "In Transit" or "Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way" for days before anything updates. It usually means USPS didn't scan your item when it was accepted, or that the tracker is wonky, especially during the holiday season, so use it as a guide, but keep an eye on your mailbox/porch as well, as we've seen items arrive before the tracker even updates.

Unfortunately, neither we nor USPS customer service can see any more info than you can, while an item is "In Transit". So if you message us or USPS, we don't see more than you do.

This is normal depending on volume as USPS tries to sort everything through the system.

What is the order deadline for it to arrive before Christmas 2019?

USPS recommends the following:

First Class (Dec 20)
Priority (Dec 21)
Priority Express (Dec 23)

However, in our experience, this is very optimistic and your package may not arrive in time, despite what USPS publicizes.

We recommend ordering by Dec 10. Most packages should arrive before Christmas if ordered by 12/10, but even so, we cannot guarantee how quickly or slowly USPS sorts through all of their packages.

If you are ordering in December, and not flexible with receiving your package possibly later than expected, we suggest ordering on Amazon where there is 2-day delivery, since they will ship from warehouses closest to you.
