About

I have always loved creating things. I have always been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. Especially animals. When I was 8 my grandmother taught me how to crochet and I learned to knit when I was 27. I can't seem to choose between knitting or painting so I am happy to offer both items in my shop! I have always loved the joy my work and creations bring to others and that is what inspires me.

I am always asked about my logo. Why goats and why are they dancing?? Well, there are two explanations: First, is that when I was coming up with a name for my yarn shop years ago lots of other shops had cutesy sheep names. I have never had sheep and don't really care for them. I did have goats though and they were awesome! So the goat was to stand out and the "dancing" part was so people would get a light-hearted, friendly, and whimsical impression of the shop. Sometimes yarn shops can come across as snooty and stuffy and I didn't want that. All were welcomed. The second reason for the dancing goats was that I am a little bit of a gypsy. I move around a lot. It reminded me of the gypsy Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame who has a pet goat that dances and performs tricks.
