Forge of the Rocks | Stone's Forge is Marcin Skalski's craft project merging blacksmithing and woodworking. Coming from Lesser Poland's countryside, my main inspiration is traditional applied art – ordinary everyday objects such as a ferruled wooden wheel or a scythe.
In my works I often use reclaimed materials and leftover pieces of wood found at a sawmill, which have distinguishing textures and unique esthetic qualities.
I've always had a great fondness for wood and steel. Products of past craftsmanship, old tools and household utensils – all that has been very intriguing to me since I were a child. What interests me the most is the stamp of time they bear, which manifests itself in the texture, colour and shape. As a designer and craftsman, I wish to create objects which fit into the present day, but are rooted in tradition, which comes with craft.

Can I have my order shipped with a courier company of my choosing?

Yes! If you want to have your order shipped with a specific courier comapny, please contact us before ordering and we will check the possibilities and pricing for you.

Can I have my order quicker?

The pieces are made to order and we rarely have spare ones in our workshop. However, if you need your order quicker, please let us know before ordering and we'll try our best.

Can I have exactly the same wood pattern as shown in the picture?

Natural wood may vary in its colours and patterns. However, if you like one more then the other, please let us know and we'll try to find a similar one.

How long does shipping to the USA take?

The standard shipping is by Polish Post Registered Letter. The post declares 6 working days. Sadly, we must admit that from our experience that's not always been the case, and it might take much longer. If you need your parcel on time, please consider ordering shipping by courier - the parcel is insured, you can track it and it takes up to 6 days to deliver.
