Excellent piece of art. The colors, the pattern, and the workmanship is tremendous. This is my second purchase and I am sure there will be others. This makes a great companion to the first piece I purchased.
The craftsmanship is over the top. Thanks for making this.

About

How it all began.

I was raised on a small farm in Indiana. Even as a small child I always had an artistic side I guess you could say. I always had a pencil and paper nearby to create my next master piece. Even at young age I enjoyed working with wood, I would even make some of my own toys. A 2x4 and a few nails and a whole lot of imagination I thought I had the hottest toy on the planet. I took many art classes in school, drawing and painting mostly. I really thought that is to direction that my creative side was going to take me. After I graduated high school, one year for my birthday my mother bought me a scroll saw. I started making little items for craft shows were having a lot of fun doing it. As the years past I collected more and more tools, lots of tools. I often joke with my mom when she sees my shop and tell her “Look at the monster you created, it all started with that little scroll saw.” After many years of making bread boxes, shelving, and furniture I decided to buy a lathe. My intention was to add turned pieces to my furniture but never really done that much in that direction. Then I started getting into turning segmented bowls and the love affair began. I have never had any formal training but I have read everything on the subject that I can find. I have a lot of passion for the art of turning and the endless possibilities. I don’t know what is on the horizon by I believe a gouge and a lathe will always be nearby.
