Indeed, it is our responsibility to uplift, build and maintain our community but sadly, in some cases, it's every person for himself these days. But I'm still of the mind that it takes a village to raise a child and the concept of standing on the shoulders of our elders and ancestors. Therefore, it is our duty to provide a hand up, leg up to our African American children that will hopefully lead them to success. Marcus Kwame's art speaks to my spirit!
