About

I paint because I crave a tangible reminder of the ephemeral.

I've been painting forever but it was only in August of 2011 that my dream studio was finally built! I wanted the light filled experience of a Victorian greenhouse with the eclectic and warm touches of period accents. I pulled together Civil War era barn board flooring and mismatched carved dresser pulls along with an antique marble sink from an estate in San Francisco and hung an abalone chandelier I'd been hanging on to. At last I have a gorgeous studio where I can create the work I love and showcase it properly! I'm black and blue as a mussel shell from pinching myself but it's all real!

Payment
I accept credit cards and Paypal through Etsy.
Shipping
Paintings that are not on exhibit will typically be shipped within 3 business days.

Paintings that are on exhibition (and this will be indicated in the listing) will typically be shipped within three business days after that exhibition closes. The buyer will be provided with a record of sale upon purchase.

I endeavor to pack and ship in the safest and most economical method.
Large paintings will be double boxed and insured and shipped through Fed Ex.
Smaller paintings will ship through Priority Post.
I will keep all packing and shipping receipts and only charge the buyer the actual cost. Any overpayment will result in a refund of that amount.
Local pick ups can be arranged.

Shipments of smaller works to Canada and Internationally may be considered. I expect to grow into this area slowly.
Additional policies and FAQs
The buyer will be provided with two copies of a record of sale for the purchased painting. The record of sale will have a picture and description of the painting, the artist's contact information, signature and date of sale as well as that of the buyer. It will also stipulate the specific rights that will be retained by the artist, such as licensing rights, copy and reproduction rights and where requested, exhibition rights for specific paintings (such rights will be stipulated in the listing). The buyer will sign both copies, retain one as a letter of authenticity and mail the second to the artist. A record of sale helps an artist keep track of their work in the event of important exhibitions like retrospectives at museums, protects an artist from copyright infringement and supports the buyer with their investment in the growing value of the painting.
It's actually a simple document and I'd be happy to email a sample upon request.
