Announcement   Welcome to my shop!

The creative bug bit me at an early age. I grew up in Ohio as an only child. I spent hours and hours alone coloring in my coloring books and "crafting" things. I also developed a strong love for animals. They became my brothers and sisters!

I was always bringing home stray dogs, cats, rabbits.... When I volunteered at my local animal shelter I learned just how many wonderful animals got put to sleep because they couldn't find a home. It really broke my heart.

I went to college thinking I wanted to be a psychologist but then knew I needed to be doing something creative. I got a degree in commercial art and photography. I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams! I worked as a set decorator for many years but felt something was missing. I finally realized my true love was to use my photography to help animals.

I self-published a line of pet calendars and greeting cards called Pound Pets featuring all rescued and adopted pets. I wanted to show what wonderful companions can be found at animal shelters and "breed" rescues. Some of my images in my shop are from this line of images.

I have a goal of making a difference in the lives of homeless animals through my photography and artwork. I have numerous exciting projects in the works!! I consider myself a mixed media artist. I am very passionate about what I do. I am always excited for the next day to keep working on my projects.

I married my best friend, Mac, who I've known for 33 years! We have two dogs: Miss Ellie (Puppa) and Clarisse (Piggly).. and take care of many others.

*I'm always happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

Thank you for visiting!

About

Passionate about helping animals and driven to create comes together in what shows up in my shop!!

After graduating from photography and art school, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams. I worked as a set decorator and had a ball. After years of doing this I became burned out on the long hours and wanted to do something artistic all on my own. I happened to pull out my photography portfolio and realized I really should get back into photography.

My dog won a cover spot on a local animal shelters calendar contest long long ago while living in Ohio. I said at that time that I would one day love to do a whole calendar featuring rescued and adopted pets. I followed my dreams and created the Pound Pets calendar and greeting card line. It went over very well but I wore all the hats in self-publishing and provided all the financing..After a few years I found myself unable to keep up with it. I have decided to go into "licensing" instead of self-publishing. I had to take a long depressing break from all of it to get back on my feet.

I am now shooting new images. I also wanted to sell my work as "art" so I started my Etsy shop.
I plan on traveling around the United States to photograph homeless animals and anything else that excites me. I also feel the need to create artistic products. I have been working with resin. You will see some bangles in my shop. My mind is always spinning with new ideas. You never really know what will show up in my shop.

Thank you for stopping by! :)

I have always loved animals and creating art. My main "medium" is photography but I love trying new creative projects so you never really know what will show up in my shop! Currently I am working with resin and have a desire to repurpose furniture.
