Welcome to Marinette Jewelry on Etsy. My name is Jean Delestelle, I reside in Seoul, South Korea, and making jewelry is what I love most.
All the jewelry in the shop is made of sterling silver (.925 or more), which is then either plated in rhodium to increase resistance to tarnishing, or in 18K gold, to obtain a gold color.
All the stones I use are either semi-precious stones (garnet, spinel, carnelian, chalcedony, etc) or precious stones (diamond, black diamond, ruby, sapphire, etc).
I do not use any cristal, whether Svarovski or any other kind of glass, or any cubic zircon.

I pride myself on being a safe honest Etsy seller and buyer. I try to describe my items to the best of my knowledge. If you feel that an item is NOT as I described, please contact me first and I will gladly resolve the issue with you.

COLORS:
I try very hard to accurately show my pendants , however please be aware that the colors of an image can vary widely from one computer monitor to another. What looks like dark blue on one computer can appear black on another. If the exact color of the pendant is very important to you and if the description isn't clear in helping you to determine the color, please send me a message through Etsy and I'll will try to answer any questions you may have.

PLATING:
The plating is the only part of the process that I don't do myself. I have spent months looking for the best platers and testing them to make sure that I get the best available quality. How long will the plating last on your jewelry depends on a wide variety of factors, among which:
- whether you live in a coastal area
- your type of skin
- how often you wear the jewelry
- the use of cosmetic products
- whether the piece is exposed to water
- how well it is kept when it isn't being worn
etc

The fact is that silver jewelry will tarnish sooner or later, and that any plating will eventually wear off. A piece that begins to tarnish after a year would be normal.
Only solid gold can avoid this problem (although even 14K or 18K gold can slightly tarnish, since it contains alloys).

Please bear in mind that if you live by the sea I do not advise you to wear gold plated jewelry.

CARE OF SILVER JEWELRY:
We recommend you use a clean soft cloth when cleaning. At all times, avoid abrasive cleaning materials. The chemical used in these cleaner are just too harsh and may result in the lost of its color and tarnish. In some cases, the chemical may actually remove gold plated layer. If you are wearing a gold plated jewlery, make sure to take them off before you wash your hands or when doing any physical activities i.e. cleaning. To extend its life usage, we recommend you keep them in a zip bag.

Immediate payments via Paypal are recommended. Echecks thru Paypal are accepted.

DON"T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT?
You don't have to have a Paypal account to purchase your order using a credit card (Visa, MC, Amex) thru Paypal. During checkout, click Pay with Paypal. Be sure to click the big green PAYPAL button at the last Etsy checkout page to take you to the Paypal page. On the Paypal log-in page, there is a little blurb on the left side above some Credit Card icons that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?" Click that, then follow the instructions to complete your purchase.

Shipping
I ship the items from SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, where I reside.

All parcels have a tracking number, and EMS shipping is extremely reliable, but items may get held in customs for inspection.

If you wish to avoid having to re-plate your piece every year, please consider buying the piece in white gold plating (rhodium) instead of gold plated. White gold plating is more durable, and when it eventually wears of you will be able to easily clean the piece like any regular silver.
