Announcement    Hi! Welcome, and thanks so much for visiting my shop.
I've been a mosaic artist for seventeen years, and prior to that I was a ceramic artist for thirty years. I have continued my love affair with clay ever since I made my first mosaic by incorporating clay tiles or abstract pieces of clay into my work. The sensual quality of the clay as well as the fun of creating textures and the endless possibilities for shapes bring me joy and keep the creative spark alive.

I create handmade ceramic tiles and abstract shapes to add to your beautiful mosaic work.

I have been working as a contemporary mosaic artist for fifteen years now. My career as an artist began with a Fine Arts degree in ceramics. Since I began working as a mosaic artist, I have continued my love affair with clay- combining handmade tiles as well as abstract pieces into my mosaic work. The sensual nature of clay and the possibilities for textures ad shapes are endless and will keep me curious and continually trying new things forever.
My work spans everything from small one of a kind wall pieces, to a 17' tall three dimensional tree for Hospice of the Valley in San Jose, CA. My neighborhood commissioned me to create a 12' sign that is at the entrance to beautiful Hidden Meadows in Escondido, Ca. Other projects include several memorial benches. Currently my work has been three dimensional cactus which was inspired by the area where I live. We have an amazing cactus and succulent garden.
The tiles I make are not only for use in my work, but for my students as well. I teach in my studio weekly as well as nationally and internationally. My students love to use my tiles in their work especially when we are making mandalas.

When not in my studio, you can find me in my garden, riding my bike, walking with a friend, cooking, or reading. I am inspired by anything in nature and love hiking, diving. My biggest love is traveling and learning about other cultures.
