Announcement   Have fun looking, I am still adding and updating the painting studies for Inventory Reduction. This does not happen often, so don't miss this opportunity! There will be more painting studies and experimental pieces added as I can. I have so many I need to try to get them a new home other than my flat file drawers! Be sure to look through them. The prices are lowered just for this opportunity. So, you will see the same size piece for different prices because of this. Remember, it is because I need to reduce the older inventory! They are worth more than the price I am selling them for! :)

Besides my paintings and studies, I have a few "Vintage Jewelry and Collectibles" listed as a new category. There won't be many listed here. I have some wonderful items I have collected over many years. The Vintage Jewelry will be the pieces I have collected that I cannot or will not use in my Re-purposed Vintage Jewelry one-of-a-kind creations.

About

It's the Journey, not the Destination!

I am a professional artist and have painted for over forty years. My Mom brought me her old oil paints when I had my first baby and said: "here is something I thought you might enjoy doing." That started my career of learning to paint, beginning to sell, and continued learning about this fabulous passion I have for art and painting! And, I still have a few of those tubes of oil paint ... tucked away as memorabilia.

I have been selling through galleries, my own website and blog, and personally for about thirty of those years. I have collectors of my art from many places, and have been accepted into prestigious juried shows and won quite a number of awards.

Wearing vintage costume jewelry has always been a signature of mine. But I have not worn the heavier stuff as much lately. That's when I decided to start a hobby... time away from my easel! I create vintage inspired necklaces from the vast amount I have collected. I am also adding to the collection... and creating commission pieces for clients from their own family costume and vintage jewelry! Each necklace also has a dragonfly charm most times at the back as my signature ... the Dragonfly is one of my totems! I am calling this jewelry venture, "Jewels By Dragonfly."

To go along with the jewelry, I am creating one to two paragraph stories from the vantage point of a dragonfly. A scene is done in watercolor and each story is placed on a print of that scene. Each time I release a "grouping" of necklaces, one story and print is released. Each client will receive a print with the necklace. If only five necklaces are released at one time, then only five prints will be done of that story. If someone commissions a necklace during that release, they will also receive a print... so there might only be five to ten prints of any given story.

I am a professional fine artist, creating paintings in oil, pastel or acrylic. This has been my passion for over forty years. I also re-make, re-purpose vintage, retro and vintage inspired necklaces. My necklaces are wonderful for Brides!

Welcome .. MarshaSavageArt is about paintings and jewelry... Original and one of a kind! I paint in pastel, oil and acrylic and create repurposed vintage necklaces. At this time all paintings are originals and unframed. The necklaces are unique, and relatively delicate. I have worn all of them several times to make sure they work correctly within the confines of what dangly jewelry "does!"

Returns and exchanges
Returns are on an individually approved basis. I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, and have strived to provide clear photographs with accurate descriptions. Please take a few moments to review all photos provided. Should you have any additional questions, please inquire before purchasing. I am totally committed to keeping my customers happy so please contact me if you have any problems or disappointments with your order. Most issues can be resolved by making minor adjustments or needed repairs (although it is a very rare occurrence for this to happen). Things happen and regarding the repurposed jewelry, if any part of your piece gets broken or no longer functions, (the clasps/chain/etc), please message me and ship it back to me and I will fix it free of charge. Since many of the Pieces I use in my Jewelry are Vintage there are times I Can Not Fix the Vintage Item, but depending on what it is, I do have a wide array of vintage stones and will do my best to fix it for you, but there are no guarantees that I will be able to fix the vintage piece.

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact me immediately upon receipt of your item. The item must be returned within 7 days of purchase for a refund or exchange (exchange must be the same amount of item being returned or I can deduct the difference). You are responsible for shipping the item back to me with a tracking number AND insurance. Return shipping to be paid by purchaser. Please pack the item with the same care as I sent it to you. I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages. Once I receive the item in its original condition, I will refund your money accordingly. Shipping charges are nonrefundable.
Payment
At this time I am only accepting payment through PayPal. Paypal is easy and secure and you do not have to open an account to use them. You can use your credit card through them. Payment is expected on the same day your purchase is made. If you are in the State of Georgia, taxes will be added. If policies for the collecting of taxes change on the internet, I will abide by those, and collect the appropriate taxes.
Shipping
I ship all purchases as quickly as possible- always within a maximum of 3 business days of receipt of payment barring weekends and holidays unless other arrangements are made. Purchases are mailed by USPS First Class. INSURANCE IS EXTRA and YOUR OPTION. Please notify us if you want your packaged insured. All packages are wrapped securely, boxed and sent with a delivery confirmation.

International packages are sent using USPS with insurance included. International customers please note there may be additional Customs charges or Duties upon receipt of your shipment. These charges are not included in U.S. postal fees and therefore cannot be paid up front. They are the responsibility of you the buyer and not part of the cost of products or shipping charges. Please be aware of any additional charges as they may affect your total cost.
Additional policies and FAQs
Regarding the Vintage Repurposed Jewelry: Please remember that vintage & antique items are not new, and usually have seen some wear, though full of old history and charm. All items sold are previously owned, out of estates. Please use photos to make your decisions and read the description so you can have an excellent experience with us.
Repairs: Yes, I am human and make mistakes, so I am happy to make repairs within one year of purchase.

The fine print: I bring together disparate, salvaged vintage parts to create one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly jewelry. The items used in each design may have some imperfections – for example, rhinestones may be missing, the enamel may be chipped off, brooches are scratched, plastic beads are dull or chains and other findings are tarnished. Please read the description carefully, look at the pictures provided closely or e-mail me any questions before committing to a purchase. I always try to use items that the "wear" and "oldness" does not detract from the beauty of the pieces included.

I also offer a layaway plan on all items in my shop. Layaway is 1/3 payment down at time of purchase (non-refundable), the second 1/3 is due by the next month and the final 1/3 payment is due one month following the 2nd payment. Please convo me if interested in setting up Layaway payments.

Contact me if you are interested in a custom order. New inventory will be added on a regular basis, so please check back often.
