Adorable and Affordable Hair Accessories!

Welcome to Mary Alice Bows! My name is Adriana and my mother Alicia and I started making bows in 2014 when my niece was born. We enjoy making different bows to match her outfits and decided to add a few to our other shop where we sell crochet stuffed animals. Since the items are very different we finally decided in September 2016 to open a shop just for our bows and headbands.

We offer a large variety of styles, sizes and colors. Custom orders are always welcome and we will try our best to work with you on the bow of your dreams.

Thanks for stopping by!

Frequently asked questions

How do I let you know which color selections I have made?

For listings that require more than one color selection please include your choices in the "NOTES TO SELLER" at checkout. Make sure to use the exact color names shown in the color chart to avoid confusion.

What is the difference between "partially" and "fully" lined clips?

{ Partially Lined }
Ribbon is only used on the top part of the clip for attaching the bow but the bottom prong is left exposed. This makes it easier to attach and remove.

{ Fully Lined }
Ribbon covers the entire clip leaving no metal exposed. This is the best option if you are concerned about the clip scraping the scalp but its more difficult to attach and remove.

What is the difference between Alligator clips and French Barrettes?

Alligator clips open and close on one end by pinching the other end of the clip, like a clothespin.

French barrettes have a latching mechanism that keep it closed. You have to squeeze two small prongs on one end to open it up. To close it pinch it together until it snaps.

For a visual on how these two look. Checkout our image available in every listing.

What type of clip works best with thin/fine hair?

Alligator clips with the no slip grip are your best option. The no slip grip helps keep the bow in place.

Do you offer combined shipping?

Yes! We can create a custom listing for you to purchase or you can make your purchase and pay the shipping as shown. When your item ships the difference is refunded.
