I love to make stuff!

I'm five years old, sitting at the kitchen table with the warm salt dough my mom just made for me. It's like all the possibilities are floating around me in the air, and I get to jump up and grab one. That's still how I feel as I sit in my studio right now, oh-so-many years later. My mom gave me the gift of creativity. Polymer clay gave me the possibilities. This wonderful, versatile, forgiving medium is an addiction. The "what-ifs" are endless.

I live and work in Bountiful, Utah. Isn't that a great name for a city? My studio/wonderland is in the room across the hall from my bedroom. Neighbors probably see my studio light on just about any hour of the day or night. (Insomnia is not always a bad thing.) There are mountains outside of my eastern windows and the Great Salt Lake out my western windows.

As an artist, I would have to say that I love repeating patterns, funky textures, and color, color, color. Color is my middle name. Well, not really, but I'm certainly a great fan of color experimentation, palette tweaking, and borrowing from fabric and nature and paint chips. I also really like useful art, art that serves another purpose. It makes it easier for us to talk ourselves into actually owning a piece of art if we can justify its dual purpose.

Thank you for browsing my shop. I hope you see something that makes you smile.
